I can't find comparative data but what I can find is that NOLA averages about 5 million more visitors per year than Nashville depending on the source.
Yes and when the new stadium is built and they’re hosting Super Bowls, final fours and more that number will soon pass NOLA by quickly.

Taxpayers are getting abused in this deal and the Eastbank plan would be 1000% better without the stadium.

Gotta love the head in the sand Nola bros that think their “food scene” is world class and it’s not just stale, repetitive menus cooked by mostly alcoholic slobs who still think it’s 1989.
I've eaten plenty of places in Miami, New York, Boston, and all over Spain and I can tell you New Orleans has incredible restaurants that can compare to anywhere in the world. You are just assuming this based off the touristy places you've probably eaten in NOLA.

Taxpayers are getting a better deal than they currently have. Wiping the debt for stadium improvements is huge.

Good for you. I’ve actually worked in both cities and across the globe for over 18 years in multiple Michelin star restaurants in the kitchen. I worked at what was supposed to be a NOLA premiere establishment by one of their largest groups in the city for over two and a half years. My opinion is based on experience.
The Nashville food scene is young but they’re experiencing an influx of high end very talented chefs from across the country and globe flocking to the city to open their own restaurants. With them their brining more cooks and a high standard of professionalism. Bastion, june, folk, locust, Audrey, the continental, Rolf and daughters, peninsula, tailor, yolan…Those are just a few restaurants off the top of my head that are all better than anything found in Nola at the moment.
I’ll get shite on this board for sure but it’s no secret in the industry that Nola is one of the more overrated scenes there is in the country. You’re labor market is abysmal and the drinking culture quickly deteriorates many great cooks who move their.
I love a good parkway po boy and I used to get trashed at Tracy’s in the channel but I’m not paying for whatever they serve at Cochon and I’ve never been impressed with Domenica. Commanders is a classic and I love it but gag me with a spoon at any Sue Zemanick restaurant.
Edit: let me edit this by saying I do think the mom and pop cafes and all around regular food in Nola is legit. It’s much better than the Sysco driven food scene in most metros. I’m comparing the “world class” statement.

I like your post a lot, even if I may not agree with all of it. Lot of good insight there.
Go post it on the food board.

Thank you. Sorry for being a bit long winded. I’ve posted here and there over the years on the food board.

It may have made improvements and repairs, but it hasn't been the same since.
But big events aren’t leaving and conventions are still coming. Which was my point.

that can be fixed... has nothing to do with the building

If it can be fixed, why has it sucked for the last 10 years?

Looks like a stadium version of Starbucks or every new fast food restaurant post 2015.

I kinda like it. It's got a Frank Lloyd Wright twist to the world of stadium design.

I like it. I like all of the outdoor space and balconies and whatnot.
If NOLA ever had a new stadium (lol I know), I would want something unique like that.

It wont end up looking like that

Yeah, Nashville metro is over 2M people, and they draw pretty well in Memphis, Chattanooga, and Knoxville. It's easy enough to head in for a Sunday afternoon game and still be back home at a reasonable hour.
I don't know if they have much reach into Kentucky.
Most NFL fans that I know here are Titans fans.

Only holds 60k, not a fan. Titans tickets will be expensive as hell, bars around the stadium will be expensive as hell. And I'm not sure you can expect to get and SEC championship with only 60k

I don't think they build this thing without assurance of SEC title, national title, final four, etc.

Que? New Orleans doesn't host the Super Bowl and Final Fours every year. A 5 million person gap isn't going to get passed quickly.
