or at least start a rotation between Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans and Dallas or Houston.

I agree. You can rotate in Tampa and Miami also.

I do think it would be cool if the Big Ten rotated their game between Indy, Detroit, and Minneapolis.

Well, yeah. It's NOLA.

Yes I’m sure that’s it and not because an SEC team is locked into the Sugar Bowl

Are we really at the point where new stadiums don’t last 25 years anymore???

Only because they can get politicians to pay for it using bullshite about a boost to the economy. It’s a huge scam

Why it matters: The new stadium would tether the Titans to Nashville and position the city to host the Super Bowl, College Football Playoff games and major concert tours during the winter months. None of those tourism draws are possible at Nissan Stadium.

They'll get a Final Four too

I feel like before long, all 32 NFL stadiums will eventually be domed.

Yea and if there’s one thing everyone knows about NOLA, it’s that we don’t host big events like CFB playoff games, national championships, NFL games, and super bowls.

If anything now Nashville going to be a much superior destination. Nobody would choose NOLA over Nashville

Retractable roof, or fixed dome? I feel like the fixed dome is "yesteryear"

It didn't have any frills

And that's why it's being replaced so quickly, and why it's being called "a dump" (the worst word IMO in all of sports)

Domed stadiums are terrible. I don't get why you would do that anywhere in the south.

because if this gets approved Nashville will host the Super Bowl within a year of the stadium opening.

Nashville will also get college football playoff games, final fours, etc.

Nissan is 23 years old and was not built to last as long as they said it would. The cost to renovate is more than half of what a new stadium will cost.

Deal has not been approved yet. Just the Titans and the mayor agreed to the framework

If this gets approved there will be far more than 8 NFL games.

Never been, but Nissan Stadium and the Stadium in Charlotte look like the most bland/basic stadiums I’ve ever seen.

Will they jack up property taxes to fund the stadium?

You know it’s possible to have 2 even 3 “destination” type cities in a country of 330M right? And they do rotate these major events

A lot of people are telling NOLA to get bent, especially people that want to stay alive

Nissan Stadium looks like the Walmart knockoff of Gilette Stadium.

I thought the current stadium was fine. It's sad how short the shelf life is for so many stadiums today. I get other events can be used. But football indoors definitely makes for a more sterile atmosphere.

Taxpayers getting hosed for a combined 2.7B over 25 years for two stadiums over a team with no fanbase.

I don't understand why no one wanted all these other events when the first stadium was built? But now they suddenly do? So tourism didn't matter in 1999? But now it does? Is Bridgestone Arena that booked up with events when the Predators aren't playing?
