re: Micah Gibbs - Tigerbait46
Lol this takes me back. I had a class at LSU with both of them and Ranaudo. Ochinko was a total clown. Gibbs seemed like a sharp dude. I know this has nothing to do with their coaching abilities 10 years later but it cracks me up to see Mr. Electric Avenue step into a coaching role at LSU. ...

re: Hagia Sophia and Istanbul needs to be called Constantinople - Tigerbait46
Erdogan is trying to turn it back into an active mosque, even though it was originally a church, perhaps the first great Christian cathedral, and served as the epicenter of the church for 900+ years. It should remain a museum as it has the past 90 years....

re: “Farm to Table” - Tigerbait46
Real farm to table is a great thing. Support your local farmers. Ever buy produce at the farmers market? It tastes better than commercially homogenized produce grown thousands of miles away, it's more environmentally sustainable, and you get to support locals. What's not to like?...

re: Les Miles expects old school approach will benefit Jayhawks - Tigerbait46
Les should take a look at Ferentz for a model Midwest program. Old fashioned, boring, and disciplined football that relies on a strong o-line, competent QB, and reliable RBs. If Iowa can do it, then KU can too....

re: Les Miles expects old school approach will benefit Jayhawks - Tigerbait46
The folks in Lawrence are loving Les. My brother in law is a physician for KU Athletics and he said the energy and attitude is completely different. Like night and day walking around the halls of the AD....

re: Extended Stay / Living Abroad in Europe - Tigerbait46
I spent 3 months two years ago in Greece, then through the Balkans, and finally in northern Italy. It was a profoundly impactful part of my life, but it was clear that I drew much more meaning from the experience of living/ working with others and staying in one place rather than the week's I spent ...

re: Forget baseball...I sure hope everyone appreciates just how good this basketball team is. - Tigerbait46
I’ve got them winning it all at 60-1, regret not putting more on it
I've never done online sports betting in my life, but you just inspired me to open an account and place a bet. With a first timer bonus, I put $100 down for payout of $6750. I'll have $100 worth of fun just ...

re: Rent is spiraling out of control in Nashville and Austin - Tigerbait46
I find the cost of living in Nashville to be inflated in comparison to the quality of life it offers. The west side is "nice" but it's nothing special. North, south, and east of the city are mostly transitional neighborhoods but housing costs reflect much higher livability than reality. Something...

re: CNN: White People caused climate change by killing Native Americans - Tigerbait46
OP, you read it wrong. They're saying genocide of Native Americans caused cooling due to lower CO2 levels as a result of reforestation. Still a shite article that's only purpose is to try and paint white folks as evildoers. The study is nothing new. We know that the decline of indigenous popula...

re: Life at 30 - Tigerbait46
I turn 30 in April. I'm on the other side of my "quarter life crisis". In a relationship but marriage not on the immediate horizon. Only pressure I feel is I know I want kids at some point. Otherwise I try not being impacted by the status of my peers. Many are married but not sure if they're ...

re: Howard Schultz hires Obama deputy press secretary as campaign strategist - Tigerbait46
Dude is the Starbucks ceo from Seattle. If that doesn’t scream coastal elitist to you, then I can’t do nothing for you man. Him pretending to be anything other that a leftist is a ruse.
Schultz is a self made man with humble roots. He grew up poor, father was a truck driver, and h...

2 Weeks Budget Travel: SF >>> Denver - Tigerbait46
I'm flying to San Francisco in a week and have about two weeks before I need to be in Denver. I have absolutely zero plans for those two weeks other than spending some days in SF and some at Yosemite plus a few hours of remote work here and there. Anyone wanna help me create a loose plan? I'll ha...

re: Private school kid from Texas being bullied for selecting LSU as his top school - Tigerbait46
What does he want to study? If it's an area that isn't an LSU strength then may be best to look elsewhere. If he's going pre med or pre law then going to an affordable but still solid university like LSU is a great idea. If he does choose LSU, what's important is surrounding himself with other ...

re: Has Anyone Done A Mutli-day Europe backpack/hike? - Tigerbait46
planing on doing this in July.  I've done some hut to hut hikes in the Swiss alps which is great. Don't have to carry too much, cheap minimal lodging, and at least 1 warm meal a day (and cold beer).
Enjoy! It was a life changing hike for me. While simple, the huts are pretty nic...

re: Has Anyone Done A Mutli-day Europe backpack/hike? - Tigerbait46
The Laugavegur in Iceland is only 4 days but it is unreal scenery. Every day there's a new landscape and it's not too grueling of a journey if you can put up with unpredictable weather that can get cold, wet, and windy. This is the trail that got me hooked. There's a new trail following the Din...

re: La Tomatina 2018 - Tigerbait46
I went in 2014. I describe it as the best time I'd never do again. So crazy and fun, but total chaos, claustrophobic, and a loooong day. I don't remember how we got tickets but I recall it being difficult to figure out online. Stay in Valencia the night before. Take it easy or stay up partyi...
