I wonder what will they do with current stadium? Will Vanderbilt begin to use it for their games or will they tear it down?

Of course they’ll tear it down. They’ll probably put a few skyscrapers in its place if I had to guess. Also, why would Vanderbilt use it? They’ve got an on campus stadium.

If they build a Dame does the SEMBBT move there and would it get Nashville a Elite 8/Final 4 also? I feel that it would.

Their on campus stadium is a joke and hasn't even been renovated since the early 80s.

Their on campus stadium is legit. Perfect for their size and close proximity to tons of food and drink.

Nobody likes flying into NOLA. That's reason #1.

NOLA already has the Sugar Bowl.

Will Indianapolis?
Will Minnesota?

The answer to all three is no. One time reward for building a new stadium.

If this gets approved there will be far more than 8 NFL games.

Yeah, like a monster truck jam.

Indianapolis and Minneapolis both have roofed stadiums, so I didn't think it would be that burdensome. Whereas NY/NJ doesn't.

I can't believe a lot of these relatively new stadiums like Nissan, Georgia Dome, and FedEx are so crappy and need to be replaced so soon while the ancient Superdome and Lambeau Field are still going strong. Apparently they don't make them like they used to.

Maybe too poor to get it replaced? Look at Cubs in Chicago That stadium is old and needs to be replaced but isn't able to do so but only to fix it up.

Ok cool thanks for your one person sample size.

People are still coming here and they are still doing big sports events there: final four, cfp, super bowl. And conventions.

Maybe it was better before the Hurricane that flooded the area and damage the buildings all around it. Hasn't been the same and then there is crime. It may have made improvements and repairs, but it hasn't been the same since.

As a season ticket holder, I can attest that stadium sucks. But my goodness the hotel tax is going to price a lot of people out of hotel stays. I bet there will $1,000+ nights in downtown on game weekends after construction is complete.

NOLA isn't the same as Nashville. People are very rich there. Is NOLA like that? Maybe some areas. Nashville is one of the better cities to live and people would feel safer to go there. On the other hand, Memphis isn't safe. That isn't an area you want to set up a football game. Get the concept about which cities are worthy and safer for fans and teams.

I agree. You can rotate in Tampa and Miami also.

I do think it would be cool if the Big Ten rotated their game between Indy, Detroit, and Minneapolis.

Yeah I don’t know about the rest of the South but in New Orleans with the high humidity, thunderstorms, and cold rainy season, football games would be miserable. Saints used to play in an open stadium in the early years and the conditions were terrible.

Will they jack up property taxes to fund the stadium?

The property in Nashville will be too much for you to buy. That is how expensive it is there.

They don’t fill their tiny on campus stadium and you think they should move to an NFL stadium?
