pleased with the disrespect by the polls, keeps LSU from getting a big head and keeps them motivated, college ball is a week by week grind, have to take it one day at a time

one battle after another

-I can't imagine why anyone would be pissed at a preseason ranking. It's practically meaningless
-They've lost 8 games the last two years and are breaking in a brand new QB. It's not like they have a ton of ground to stand on to demand being ranked higher.

Where did you expect LSU to be ranked with a new coach and many new players after a mediocre season last year?

Oregon consistently over ranked and underperforming. Starting off on track.

I don't think they're pissed at the ranking. Unless they can start running the ball again, it's probably accurate.

Also - 2008 was the last time they were ranked 14th or lower to start the season. They were ranked #24 to start that season.

For as much heat as ND gets for their schedule, they have more top 25 games for any team ranked in the top 15 that's not in the SEC or Big10.

So more ranked games than Miami, TTU, and BYU? Not a great accomplishment

So Notre Dame has an easier schedule than 11 of their fellow teams in the top 15 and this guy acts like its a big deal.

I like where USC is. Trojans should start 4-0 but things get tough after that.
Oregon at home, Washington at home, @Penn State, @Wisconsin, tOSU at home and @Indiana. Damn.

Mildly interesting ND with 6 1st-place votes is behind UGA with 0 (although there’s only a 3-point gap). IU with 8 1st-place votes but down at #6 can probably be attributed to some people just always choosing to vote the defending champs at #1; I doubt most of those 8 actually think IU is the best team in 2026 / will win the championship this season.

No first-place preseason votes for the SEC. Can’t even imagine the last time that happened. Maybe mid-2000s?

You have obviously never lived around any concentration of Bama fans. Being ranked this low in football the last 15 years, even in a preseason poll, is a direct assault on their identity. Many are dealing with it by pretending they don’t care or saying they have lost interest after NIL, but it’s absolutely eating their soul.

Nah just dispels the notion that if they were in the ACC fully or Big 12 the same talking point about having a weak schedule would apply.

I'm not.

No one has even mentioned it on our board.

Oregon top five every freaking year with their weak schedule USC & Ohio State are their only challenges.

Then they play an SEC team and get punked.

NIKE has the league by the gonads.

If you were a defense attorney and your client was brought up on charges of simple burglary... you just got him convicted or murder.
