Coach Dez and Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns gonna spank that arse in L.A. and plant the flag on yall's field.

OK, Baker Mais-field.
I like where USC is. Trojans should start 4-0 but things get tough after that.
Oregon at home, Washington at home, @Penn State, @Wisconsin, tOSU at home and @Indiana. Damn.

I hope they lose the NFCCG on a horrible ref call.

OK Saints fans, as a Rams fan we deserve that but FU anyways.

If you were going to do that, you’d probably just make it in San Antonio
I can tell you without a doubt the Cowboys would never allow a rival franchise in San Antonio. Those people are rabid Cowboys fans, and it's a pretty big market. No way they'd ever give that up.

7s is a joke, it’s like the flag football version of rugby

7's is cool but I didn't have the cardio for it. 15's is hard enough if you're a big boy. But I do enjoy watching 7's and the USA has had some speedsters that made it even more fun to watch. #carlinisles

The longest I ever experienced being at sea without replenishment was 2 months, and all we had to eat was canned ravioli for all 3 meals. It wasn't hell on earth, but it wasn't nice. We just kept doing boxes off the coast of Lebanon waiting for the order to launch TLAM Charlies at Hezbollah. We always had hot water, clean showers and working laundry facilities though.
Sounds like things have gone a little downhill since then.
Not really. It's a different lens from a fan's perspective, but pretty normal for coaches of "rival" teams to be friends. The Woody Hayes era of "coach rival hate" has long gone.

It’s got to be top of mind when they face England, right?

100%. They literally were saying "this was our final, beating England was more important than anything else". Do they want to beat Spain? Of course but this semi was their SEC game. It just meant more.
This is so true. WTF was Tuchel thinking by parking the bus after going only 1-0 up on the greatest attacking team in the world? Never rated him at Chelsea, and although he has done an admittedly good job getting ENG to the semifinals in the WC, he done F'D this one up in a major league fashion.

People pretended to like soccer

They're really good actors.

I went to ENG v DR CONGO and ENG v ARG and they were both crazy in different ways. CONGO fans were expecting nothing and just glad to be there and the ARG fans were mostly polite, but you could tell some of them wanted their islands back badly. Great experience overall with this World Cup. I get it if you don't "Get It" but I kinda fell sorry for you if that's the case. This was pretty awesome.

Only thing I don't like is that the Euro elitism is very reminiscent of Canadian elitism. We shut the Canucks up for a spell. The Euros are still laughing at us.

We shut the Canadians up a couple of times. MOI and this last Olympics. DGMR I love Canadians, and Canada but that was awesome. It will happen with soccer, but we're not there yet. The 2-deep roster needs to be a lot deeper.

The sports are very similar in these concepts, and things happen much, much faster in hockey. Hockey players would definitely have the game sense and spatial awareness to be good soccer players.

My sister is a hockey Mom. All 3 of her kids play hockey in season and lacrosse off season. Keeps them in shape, similar hand eye skills and tactics.
I just wish the US ones had done better.

Norway taking down England

Norway are gonna get Kaned like they spit on a Singapore sidewalk.

They're not having such a good time right now. Down 0-2 to Brazil.

They'll win the party. #NSNP
Yeah, that was a huge miss. He literally psyched himself out.

And holy fricking shite if this happened. Imagine a rematch with Germany in the semifinals after we were hosed in the quarters 02?

Yep. If VAR were around we'd have beaten Germany. That still pisses me off.

Fun, but man, they’re dangerous after seeing them tie the Netherlands

Yeah, Japan and Holland are both beastly teams in this WC. Either can win it. We don't want that smoke unless it's a semi or the final.

If Saudi Arabia get any sort of result against Spain then I’m crossing Spain off my fear list.

Hold the bus. La furia roja ha vuelto.
Been outside of both ballparks (surrounding neighborhoods) multiple times, but never been in either unless you count the bar that is behind the centerfield wall at Fenway. You can have a beer and enjoy the view of the stadium from there. Never been inside Wrigley, but as has been said here multiple times, Wrigleyville is nice. Lots of bars, restauraunts and shops. This summer I want to do a game or two in each.
