re: I don't know how regular folk get by with multiple kids. The cost is absurd.

If they are alive and healthy it is a blessing and worth whatever the cost. Love them and do the best you can for them. It will all be worth it.

The Brown Door should be a historical landmark.

I hate targeting as it is now and think it should be egregious to be called and just be a 15 yard penalty.
I think “half the distance” penalties should be applied equally to offense and defense. If holding on the defense from the 5 only moves the offense up 2.5 yards. Holding on the offense from the 5 should only move them back 2.5 yards.

Nebraska, Kansas, and Wisconsin are better. Mississippi, WV, and NV are a wash. Switch cheese curds with crawfish and Wisconsin is pretty similar to the good parts. Everyone has a 30+ BMI, drinks heavily, hunts, fishes and loves football. Minus the fattys I’d put Wisconsin in the top 10.

She’s not running again so maybe that has something to do with it. Occam’s razor.

Something I like about being able to keep the paper ticket to know I was there. It’s part of the magic

QB has been disappointing for Iowa but if he can half way put it together they are a top 25 team. Under is always the play with Iowa though. I’ll risk it for the two times a year they score more than 20

FFS is not good for bass fishing or tackle sales. All anyone wants to buy is jig heads and plastic minnows. It also prices the average fisherman out of the tournament arms race. There needs to be separate divisions or tournaments for FFS and we are starting to see that separation

I’m in Lincoln pretty often, sounds like we need to connect so you can hook me up with some of these folks
re: Mono backing for braid on spinning reels
Posted by HighProofWheated on 8/12/25 at 10:37 pm to tigerbait1970
Always put a small amount of mono or copolymer before spooling on your braid on spinning reels to eliminate slipping. On bait casters it’s a little known secret to spool some braid first which makes the spool spin faster initially if you are going to main spool with mono or copolymer. 15 years professionally fishing and this was the standard but I’ve been out ten years or so maybe it’s changed as it often does. But this was pretty much what everyone did 10 years ago when I cared enough to to be that meticulous.
re: Do you know what ASYCUDA is? If not please shut up about "who pays the tariffs".
Posted by HighProofWheated on 8/8/25 at 8:18 am to trinidadtiger
If people aren’t willing to pay a certain price, prices will go down. We’ve learned the last few years that businesses will use any excuse they can to raise prices and they will say tariffs are a reason they are raising prices even when exporters are largely offsetting that cost. At the end of the day the trade imbalance is real and we have to get it fixed for America to prosper long term.

Truly sorry. Unconditional love is not shown anywhere greater than in our dogs. They are the only beings that just want to give and receive our attention and affection no matter what. I’ve got an 11 year old cocker spaniel that has been through some tough family trauma with me and the wife and I tear up thinking our run is close to over. God bless you.

The winter isn’t that bad when you compare how awesome the summers are. Diversity is also not a strength in Iowa which seems to positively affect pretty much every thing else. I’m headed to Louisiana tomorrow to take my boys fishing for four days which is the highlight of our year and we do it every year. Iowa is literally Mayberry but the fishing is awful which kills me. My property tax is also close to $15k a year and the state income tax sucks but it seems to keep out the undesirables. My car insurance and home owners is extremely cheap so I guess it all washes. I got my parents a place up here and they only go back for 2-3 months a year and absolutely love it up here. It’s boring but you don’t have to worry with many of the things in Louisiana. I still love my home state and miss it all the time but I’m not sure I could live there again unless I retired in Grand Isle or something but I’m leaning more towards Fort Myers.

I thought Vetiver might move me from D&G with how unique it was but it was a phase. Probably the most masculine scent around. It’s like dip spit shite on a Christmas tree

Dolce Gabbana. I used to have to get it from Europe in the 90’s but now it’s easy to find. It’s different and chicks dig it. No reason to change

This is the truth. You are paying for who you do not want to be around more than who you want to be around.
