The bottom line is, cases like this to me are proof that colleges have zero business trying to conduct quasi-criminal inquiries into allegations of sexual assault. If these two girls were raped, it should've been reported to one place and only one place: the police department.

110% correct

the message in ALL of these cases should be, "if you were assaulted, go to the police. full stop"

If hidden and true that he raped two people then they should do time as well.

I’m supposed to believe that O found out this kids gf was raped and his response was, yeah you know girls get around.

I hate to say it but both these stories sound fishy. Not saying something didn’t happen, but I doubt it happened as the article is explaining.

I’m not seeing how this is an O issue. Les was the head coach in 2016 until after auburn. It sounds more like a les issue slash issue with joe alleva and f king and compliance

Thread from two years ago about mayock’s comments. An interesting read

I think I may know who the boyfriend is. Saw Guice and a guy that was a redshirt Freshman at LSU in 2016 almost get in a fight at a bar a while back.

when he was a freshman i heard a lot of generic bad stuff about him but after 2 years, nothing has really come out

typically those issues would surface, especially at LSU and especially at LSU in chaos like we were 2016-2017

so i don't know if he ever had any (he just wasn't LF and was being compared to him), and if he did, they seem to have been worked out internally within himself

i can live with this. i had no idea LSU's AD and President were potentially the type to possibly/allegedly ignore Title 9 complaints

I dont think they did

From how I have heard this story, it was the tennis coach who was slow to report

And that once reported, Alleva and everyone else followed protocol to the letter from a procedural standpoint

So, its just not sexy though to make the womens tennis coach the bad girl, we need to make it about men and coach o

Kinda ironic that alleva’s final goodbye is a rape cover up

well i'm certainly interested in how this unfolds, if the protocols were followed

the insertion of O in that story is such bullshite. it's obviously a try hard move b/c our HC, AD, and Pres at the time are gone

And because the tennis coach who straight up told the father "I dont believe her" is a woman....

The glossed over that pretty much competently

It sounds like the one girl wouldn’t talk or file a complaint. Nothing LSU could do.

quote:

They said they couldn’t do anything because (the victim) didn’t want to talk, and because it didn’t happen to me,” the diver said. After that meeting, the woman said someone from LSU emailed her, told her the school was aware of the incident and said she could get treatment at the university health center. The woman does not remember who sent the email or which department the person was in. She said she no longer has access to the LSU email account to which the email was sent. When a nurse at the health center asked if she planned to pursue a complaint against Guice, the woman said no.

I’ll have to go back and read about the other incident. I thought the other girl said she didn’t tell anyone at LSU either. But I have to go read it again to make sure.

The tennis player didn’t tell anyone until 2017 while in rehab for drugs and alcohol. I would have been skeptical of her story also. I’m not saying the allegations aren’t true but I’m not seeing how LSU covered anything up.

quote:

The woman was not able to retrieve a copy of the text message, as she has since gotten a new phone and did not keep the messages. She said she searched for the message in cloud storage and old backups but was unsuccessful. The next thing she could remember from that night, Guice was forcing her to perform oral and then vaginal sex, she said. When she woke up in the morning, he was gone, she said. She told a few close friends that Guice had taken advantage of the situation, though she did not explicitly describe it as rape at the time, she said.

A USA TODAY investigation found that the women’s allegations were shared at the time with multiple people at the school — including at least two coaches, an athletics administrator and a nurse — yet the school does not appear to have investigated.

If they were football coaches, they would have been named. Especially if they were still on staff.
