When you sift through all the crazy shite, Trump is so “moderate” that he presides left of Bill Clinton.
What would be great for the country is to run/elect an actual conservative. Problem is outside of DeSantis, whose shoewear is evidently a dealbreaker for a lot of MAGA, I can’t think of anyone with a national profile that fits that bill.

hearing Trump and JD Vance try to rationalize it by saying it’s a dividend check from all the extraordinary revenue they’ve been bringing in due to the tariffs and other measures they’ve taken to stop the rip offs of foreign companies and countries is just massive BS.
If this is some sort of “dividend” from all the revenue then why tie this “dividend” to the November elections!? Just give us the friggin money!
Are people really this stupid?

Bridges and roads across the fruited plain are out of service or in dire need of repair. Start with the Highway 90 bridge on Louisiana/Mississippi border that has been closed for years. It’s a dead end road on Hwy 90 in both states. No money to replace or repair. Ridiculous.

I don't think all of them are stupid, but they're most certainly gullible enough to be brainwashed.
I'm sure you've probably ventured over to the poliboard a time or 2. It's crazy how brainwashed people are by this guy and that's a good example. There's always an excuse.
What I can say is they are stupid enough to buy into that liberals are the worst people in the world. But I guess that goes back to being brainwashed. It's both sides though.
While they're fighting the gayest culture war this world has ever seen, as evidenced by the WNBA being ground zero (how embarrassing
It's honestly impressive how brainwashed they are and how manipulative Trump is. He knows he's their puppet master and they'll be good little puppets and believe whatever he says. I'm not sure how any self respecting man can allow themselves to be played like that.

it’s remarkable to me that it was so easy

I thought this was just Trump being Trump and saying something, but they're actually seriously discussing this?

Spoiler alert. They won't.
For all the people that love him for being "so good at business" they all seem to fail to realize his personal views of business. As long as it makes him money, he doesn't care if it bankrupts the business or the people that work for it. It's just that now the business is America and the employees are us.

JD Vance has been all over the "news" talk shows defending it.

It really is sad watching him argue like a child when you call him out for literally any dumb shite he says or does.

It’s mostly old republicans. Imagine being the only demographic that supports this war and they can’t even defend why. They are so set in their ways and rigid with their beliefs that they are oblivious world changing around them. Either that or they just want to cling to the past. I love nostalgia but life in 2026 is not the same as 1976.

At this point, I have to believe a lot of them see the error in backing him so fervently. But so many republicans, older ones especially, have tied their identities to him at this point. Admitting they were wrong, is admitting something is wrong with them as individuals, so they'll continue backing him.

He’s a morally bankrupt opportunist. He’ll do whatever he has to do to “win”, or say he won, regardless of the consequences. He does not care one bit about the fallout or anyone else affected by the outcome, as long as he can claim he won, regardless if he did or not.
That also plays into his narcissism. Look up the key characteristics of malignant narcissists and it all starts to come together.

Sure they are, and Democrats make it easy for him by advancing the even more retarded shite they do.
We’re in an unending spiral of stupid and the American male has gotten too soft to do anything about it.

I honestly wouldn't even begrudge them falling back on "look, his second term has been a bit of a disaster, but I still think it's better than what we would have had with Harris."
Agree or disagree, that's a defensible position. What kills me is the insistence that he's one of, if not the, greatest president we've ever had in the history of this nation. The lady doth protest so fricking much that I can hardly wrap my head around it.
