Ty Benefield: kid is excellent at reading an offense

Rewatching the highlights of the game and noticed this kid repeatedly knew the offensive play ahead of time. A few times he was pointing to whit and pickett before the snap to exactly where the ball was going to go.
He is an excellent addition to a defense.

I think they said it was his 34th game starting in a row on the broadcast. It definitely showed.

Couldn't agree more. I noticed at the game that he was beating the ball to wherever the play was designed to go. Saw the same thing last night on the replay. Dude is legit!

Benefield is humble as hell off the field and an absolute DAWG once it’s go time. We got a great one.

Going into the game, he was the defensive player I was most excited to watch. After all the offseason hype from other players, I figured he had to be legit. Was not disappointed. Seemed like I heard his name called a lot at the game.

Him, Weeks and Dottery are so good it allows us to be creative up front. Every time Clemson blocked it up and made a seam one of those guys closed it right away

Clemson didn’t have time to throw much so we didn’t get to see him much there but he can definitely stop the run. Kid will be a good one.

Secondary and getting very little love for that game. They made Clemson QB's scramble due to their blanket coverage. Enter front 7!

Heard Benefield in some interviews and he's sharp, very well-spoken. Having him and Weeks in the game is like having two coaches on the field.
