True, absolutely.
Biggest Portal era loss is Heard, and he didn’t want to play guard so that only becomes a problem next year.
Portal In: Daniels, Wingo, Weeks which got us 2 more weeks brothers, Swinson, Frazier, All the DBs in 2022 which made the team respectable.

LSU definitely benefitted from first year of Kelly making SEC Champ Game
Without portal they don't get close
They missed bad on some players in year 2 especially on defense though part of it was Matt House
Last season they didn't really hit the portal that hard
So far this offseason they have made a lot of progress this week

False. See 2020 LSU team.

You see panic from this board 100% of the time. There are a group of poster here who just aren't happy unless they are worried/complaining about something.
This many times over. It’s proven in studies that is most often a sign of low IQ. After being on this board for years seeing crying over nothing, I’ll say that has to be proven as a fact.

I didn’t count Joe because he was a grad transfer and not part of the “portal era” per se, but I agree that he fits the spirit of the argument, which is that LSU is an athletics destination that benefits from freer movement of athletes.

You’re missing my point.

How about you leave the football analysis to the adults, and stick to what you know, blowing dudes for pocket change…

Is this even a question????
Football: Jaden Daniels - Heisman Trophy - SEC Western Division Champions.
Baseball - Paul Skenes - CWS Championship
Angel Reese - Women’s Basketball National Championship
None of these occur without the transfer portal and NIL.

Paul Skenes and Jayden Daniels having me saying yes.

Anyone who says false is just being ignorant.
Football - Daniels
WBB - Reece
Baseball - Skenes
Countless others as well from all sports. LSU won national championships in Gym, WBB, and baseball during the NIL & Transfer portal era.

There was no portal when Burrow came here. He was a grad transfer.

100% true! Would we have even had a football team in 2022 without the portal?
Posted on 12/17/24 at 3:26 pm to jbraua
True.
Burrow.
Daniels.
