Yeah, at the bar. At the house down the street. Not an uninhabited island, nine miles from shore.
normal behavior for anyone who grew up or lives in a beach town or any body of water for that matter. Jumping from boat to boat finding the next party. This isn’t some castaway scenario. You think it’s weird leaving someone with a group of people with over 50-100 boats on an island 9 miles offshore but no problem leaving a friend at a random lsu tailgate when you’re driving back 35 minutes to Gonzales to watch the game at the house. Same scenario nothing wrong with either situation.
quote:

What I will say is, from what I've seen regarding the case. Those boys were not his friends. I don't mean this in the sense that they did something sinister, but rather , they just didn't care that much.
you don't know these families and kids personally so you're pretty much a hypocrite when this was your statement above.
quote:

I refuse to accuse someone without actual proof.

How do you all go somewhere together, but then y'all have non-issue leaving someone behind
seriously how old are you? this completely normal behavior with guys who are not homosexual when they're trying to get laid. many posters including myself have been left behind or left others if meant someone could get lucky that night. It happened all the time in my college years at tigerland or at club lavela or the florabama.

quote:

leaving someone behind, without having 100% certainty that said person will have a ride back. Not to mention, the young man's phone was allegedly left on the boat.
were you there? how do you know these conversations didn't take place? If he was left and stayed with another group of mutal friends including his GF that's completely normal. As far as the phone is concerned do you really think teenagers that are drinking alcohol and have wool on their mind are making the best and wisest decisions?

quote:

So he wouldn't have even had a way of contacting anyone

I'm sure someone on that island with as many boats that were there would have a phone and he would remember his own phone number no?

quote:

Tbh I don't know what type of bro code that is. Im not leaving my bro somewhere just because he's talking to a girl. Either I'll wait a lil for him to do his thing. Or I'll tell him to get her number because we're leaving. If we do leave him, I'm going to make sure he's got his phone in order to make sure he's ok and has a ride back.

But no, I'm not going to leave a friend behind with no ride with a random girl he just met. That's not cock blocking, that is being a good friend. Regardless of skin tone
so you're gonna follow them to the bedroom to make sure he's safe? again you weren't there so you have no idea if the conversations already took place. Again some of these actions from these kids are no different than what the majority of us experienced from ages16-28.

We didn't have the power to end slavery.
tell that to the Oyo & Ashanti Empire or Queen Mbandi. Yall seem to forget the slave trade was a two way street with European and African nations.

Not a scrap yard. The guy who drives around on garbage night picking up shite other people throw away and loading it on the back of his pickup truck.
we all have trash men, some of us in our neighborhoods have a junk man who takes the appliances, aluminum gutters, waters heaters/ and sheet metal from our driveway and hauls it to the scrap yard.

Put it out by the street so the Junk Man can pick it up at 2am.
scrap yards don’t take TV’s.

There has to be a lot of bots stirring up the morons with these stupid racial conspiracies.
streamers and TikTokers stirring the pot for views.
TMZ and ABC getting wind of this story was the worst thing possible. You can definitely tell that the majority of these people have never been boating or know anything about the gulf islands in their life. Looks like they doxed the other kids socials as well.
Those currents out there around the islands are no joke especially for the most experienced swimmers, factor in alcohol and well you’re asking for trouble. Absolutely tragic for the family. There are some questions to ask but some of the stories coming out right now is just ridiculous.

Which FR pitcher coming in is gonna win a weekend starting spot?
very unlikely that’s going to happen with what LSU has returning and what is coming in from the portal.

He's not that good of a coach.
weird because this was you in ‘22

A very successful first year! He took a team with subpar elite level pitching and bad fielding middle infielders(both should be outfielders) and made a regional and a 4th place finish in the toughest division of the toughest conference in the country!

Billy Bob Brubaker

I guess winning two national championships made him a worse coach in your retarded mind?
I still think early doucet catch against az state was incomplete. Probably would be in today’s era.

Who was #1? I thought Waters was the top overall prospect lol.
Flukey from coastal but he’s getting drafted.

Agreed at least 2 proven starters away from where we need to be.
LSU literally got the best underclassmen RHP in the portal and who are these two proven starters in the portal that you speak of that are better than Evans, Schmidt, and Moore?

Still looking for a righty and a lefty.
think they’re done with RH pitching from the portal, I think they’ll bring in 1 more LHP from the portal and then see how the draft plays. I’m expecting Garcia back and 1 of Sides, Schmidt, and Hirschkorn to make it to campus.
quote:

A lot of posters on this site said LSU would rely on the incoming freshman and returning players and only dabble in the portal. Good times.
on the pitching side that is correct. They’ll probably add 1 more LHP and be done.
quote:

I have been crunching the numbers on pitching as well. We can still add a portal pitcher but that will be end of our portal season. If we add another arm, we do well on the draft and if land Garcia we will have to free up some room with Aase and Wisener. If Garcia goes pro and we don't do well in the draft then Aase and Wisener make the cut.
depending on Garcia I personally think Jay still adds 1 more LHP from portal.
quote:

Feels like we're going to get more IF than OF to campus from the class. Holding out hope they can get Nawrocki/Santarelli in. Feel like Washington/Murphy are gone.
maybe I’m just being ignorant but I’ll gladly strike out on both positions if it means Jay is able to get 1 of Schmidt, Sides, or Hirschkorn to campus.
quote:

I gotta think this means Jay feels less confident in some of the other HS OFs making it
he’s already got 1 of the top 3 so that’s already a huge win. Roberson may sign but LSU was already in good shape with Patrick, Watters, Wachs, Davis and now Laya.

Drew Brees Superdome Debate

Posted by Jim Hopper on 7/2/26 at 12:20 pm
Does anyone always find it to be a lazy argument when discussing top QB’s that the main argument/criticism against Brees was playing in a dome? Yet these same people will ignore someone like manning who played 90% of his career in a dome with two HOF WR’s?
quote:

Over slot Schmidt 53 ????
don’t think he makes it, because I think he eventually signs for less but if he’s dead set on 5 million like some are saying….. could be a nice little draft day surprise.
