No, and I have absolutely no idea how good Clark is. Just pointing out that Lane was in a situation last year with a D2 transfer and got bailed out by an injury after picking the wrong guy

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Kiffin and Weiss know who to start.

I'm not emphatically stating it should be done or "jumping the gun". And I agree Ole Miss might not be the game to run this "trial". Remember, I said a series or two, or until he struggles, or the offense is not succeeding!
I know this, we may very likely NOT have the luxury of "turning the ball over 2, 3 or perhaps 4 or 5 x against the tough opponents, schedule in front of us. And again.......has Landon actually shown a proclivity to turning the ball over? And how do you, or anyone - including coaches - really know who PERFORMS better during the actual Game. What are the facts!?!
If we lose an important, perhaps close game due to "rusty" play (overthrown balls to wide open receivers in position to score)......or, due to several turnovers like last night......will this thought/suggestion or trial seem so rediculous like some have reacted above!?
AAgain, what have we got to lose.....except maybe actually losing!?
There is nothing ridiculous, or even fool hearty/risky, with considering this idea!

In fact.....I would'nt be at all or one bit surprised if Lane/Weiss have not already "thought" about what I'm thinking about!

The issue is messy. Leavitt will probably be the better one long term after he knocks the rust off from being away from football after injury. Problem is can LSU afford to play him for long term gain sacrificing some in the present. It’s obvious Clark is the smoother QB ( more accurate passer with similar running ability) right now.

Everyone loves Clark so much they don't even know how to spell his first name correctly.

Face facts, he picked the wrong guy last year and got lucky with the injury. Also, paying a guy multi millions can cloud you judgement

Only took 2 games in to start calling for the backup.
Posted on 9/13/26 at 8:24 pm to KidCreole
Bench NUSS. Start the backup. We saw how that turned out didn’t we?
Posted on 9/13/26 at 8:25 pm to KidCreole
Leavitt starts but we have to have a run game. Not opposed to Clark getting some snaps, but on specific packages only. Trust the coaches until they give a reason not to

Death, taxes, and LSU fans' obsession with the back up QB.
Posted on 9/13/26 at 8:31 pm to KidCreole
Reality of the politics at QB. Whoever you pay the most gets the start unless they are really bad or get hurt.
Posted on 9/13/26 at 8:32 pm to KidCreole
Even Kelly was better at choosing QBs than the Rant.
Posted on 9/13/26 at 8:34 pm to KidCreole
Are yall really questioning QB play under Lane within 2 games?
Posted on 9/13/26 at 8:35 pm to KidCreole
Sam > Landon and it’s not close.
What are some of yall smoking?

I don't have to think about it...no...

Nah probably not. My intuition tells me they play him until he at least loses a game.

The coaches know waaaaaay better than the rant
I would have rather tRant coach the team last year than Brian Kelly.
