re: Perspective on next year’s QB situation - da prophet
Y'all are dumb. We CANNOT move on from Daniels. QBs that can extend plays are valuable in college and Walker is probably not that guy.
Les? Is that you?...

Perspective on next year’s QB situation - da prophet
Daniels just completed his 4th year as a starting QB. A great runner, but a below average passer. Will he show improvement next year, possibly but doubtful. What you see is what you got. Walker on the other hand tremendous upside. He was ranked very high like Weigman among QB’s in the 2022 recr...

re: If we had beat FSU - da prophet
So we beat FSU and lose to Auburn or Bama or Arkansas? Can’t play what ifs. A loss that could have been a win, and a few other games that could have gone the other way....

re: Baseball scrimmages? - da prophet
Kling will play alot...every day starter or not. He's not a Crews level freshman but he's not too far off. The OF is just very crowded with Crews and likely Pearson holding 2 spots. Being a RHH will get Kling in the lineup more times than not. The question is whether Dugas and/or Skenes enter...

re: It appears the committee doesn’t want to diminish a conference championship - da prophet
If LSU wins out, they’re in. The committee won’t have two non-champions from the same conference, let alone the same division of the conference.
I was overlooking the fact that both are from the same division....

It appears the committee doesn’t want to diminish a conference championship - da prophet
If LSU wins out and the committee puts Tennessee and Georgia in the playoffs, the optics would be terrible. Two conference teams in and the conference champion left out after defeating the number 1 team in the championship game. I could definitely see Georgia getting in, but 2 SEC teams in followi...

re: Why is there so much anger here for DeSantis? - da prophet
I don’t get it either. Trump was a great president, but Desantis has done nothing to warrant this hate. He has taken on the liberals with every issue. Florida in great shape because of him. He was re-elected by historic margins. I will vote for whichever one is the nominee. The real question b...

everybody thought Ed O was a terrible hire - da prophet
Ed O was a bad hire, but not a terrible hire, at least he won a natty. Dennis Allen is a terrible hire. Saints never gonna see the playoffs under Allen. Time to do a real search, and open the checkbook....

re: LSU is a perfect reason why the playoffs needed to expand. - da prophet
The FBS will be forced to go to 12 or 16 teams. The bowls have already become irrelevant as evidence by the opt outs last year. Teams need a real goal in post season play. Every other sport (FCS football, mens and womens basketball and football, NFL NBA, MLB) has wayyy more teams in postseason...

re: Kind of surprised Saban gave LSU or its players no credit in his postgame - da prophet
The true winds of change are upon us.
I don’t think this is just sarcasm. Saban is in his Seventies and I think he will matched by other SEC teams in the new NIL/transfer portal environment. Georgia has already passed him and teams like LSU, Tenn, and Ole Miss are headed there....

I think some are forgetting that Wes Johnson is a great pitching coach and is more like a Skip Bertman type evaluator and developer of pitching talent. He was brought to evaluate and develop pitchers. Trust in Wes....
What makes you say that about Dutton? Was right in the mix for a Sunday starter last year and was pretty reliable for outings 4 innings or less last year... don't really see him moving backwards
Dutton absolutely should have a spot on the roster based on last year’s performance....

re: Example of JD missing explosive plays - da prophet
Daniels will never be a good passing QB. He’s in his fourth year as a starting D1 college quarterback. What you see is what you got. He was bad in his Junior year at Arizona. He showed glimpses of his problems in the spring game. I tried to get everyone to realize that before the season. Time f...

re: Comparison between Daniels and Burrows first 5 games as a Tiger - da prophet
The biggest difference is that Burrow was taking classes his first year and the second year he may have had one class. He was able to throw himself into the playbook and build a rapport with Jefferson (Bigger Rapport), Chase, and CEH.
I’m calling BS on this one, you’ll never see Dan...

re: Comparison between Daniels and Burrows first 5 games as a Tiger - da prophet
JB threw maybe 30 passes in his college career before transferring. He just needed some experience and playing time. JD just isn't a gunslinger, not saying that's bad but he and JB are not comparable.
This is what most missed when we got Daniels. A 3 year starter at Arizona. He is...

re: This is NOT Sustainable - da prophet
He has zero ability to anticipate the passes. By the time he sees guys open, the are usually no longer open before he can let it go. Good QBs understand what they are looking for before they start. The ball is ready to come out before the player is open. And, because of that throws aren't r...
