re: College football is so broken

Funny you list 2019, which was won by an LSU team with a transfer qb, transfer TE(who declared early and went undrafted) and star receiver that sat out the following year to preserve his draft stock
That team foreshadowed what was coming

Whoever loses September 19th is going to be a broken program, that locker room will shortly fall apart

How are these guys even enrolling when they weren’t students at LSU, the transfer deadline was June 1 and late reg is closed/classes already began?

USC -38.5 and O60.5 is a free roll(both singles for same amount, no parlay). USC will score >50 guaranteed. Only way O60.5 doesn’t hit is SJSU scoring 7 or less, and USC could still hit 61 by themselves. Only way -38.5 doesn’t hit is SJSU scoring 14+, guaranteeing O60.5, which USC could still easily cover. It’s a perfect hedge with a high probability of both hitting
Btw Memphis has a new coach and 20/22 starters are transfers
Edit: non-conference g5 opponent(obviously scheduled for prep against future opp) that’s also in state with a well respected coach in the region, 100% fade

Do you also believe Texas' top 3 LBs all coincidentally caught the flu at the same time prior to a scrimmage? Crazy how it happened right before Smith, a projected starter, got dismissed from the team

Strategy, duh. An exaggerated example would be subbing in a QB (no randall cunningham) to punt on 4th down

So let me get this straight. Excluding injuries against G5 teams and 26 garbage time snaps vs SE Louisiana, Braelin Moore never missed a down last season. He went through the SEC unscathed, yet got knocked out on the 1st and 3rd snaps against mid major teams that both happened to run a 5/4i-0-3 fronts as their base D(almost like scheduling them was intentional prep for a hypothetical Georgia matchup in the SEC CG).
He got so beat up in those 3 snaps vs WKU, he couldn't play the next week vs Oklahoma, who also uses a 3-man front ~50% of the time. Yet he was completely fine thereafter :rotflmao:

So he got injured on the first and third snaps vs the 2 teams that use a 0 tech in their base D and happened to miss the following week against another team that frequently uses one? He lacked the size/strength to hold up vs a traditional nose, so they used Chester instead. How much you want to bet he misses the majority of the La Tech again this year?

Moore started vs Louisiana Tech and got injured so Chester came in for him. Same situation in the Western Kentucky game. I believe he missed the Oklahoma game as a result of that injury.
After really looking it, Moore played exactly 1 snap vs LA Tech and 3 vs WKU. It's highly unlikely he was actually hurt, both teams run a 3-3-5. Chester was the better matchup vs that front due to his size/strength advantage. Oklahoma also frequently mixes in a nickel with 3 down lineman/0 tech

Chester was C1 against La Tech, WKU and Oklahoma. He also filled in at LT against Vandy and A&M. I guess I thought he earned the job after starting in 24 with how much bitching there was on tRant about his play, but it looks like it was because of how dogshit the offense was in those 5 games
Bordelon played like 20 snaps all season, 1/2 at TE
FWIW this doesn't change anything, line is still swiss cheese

Was the OL not:
LT: Adams
LG: Mubenga/Echols
C: Chester/Moore
RG: Thompson
RT: Davis
The plan was originally Echols at LG and Moore at center, but during fall camp it became apparent how garbage the OL was after getting dominated by the interior DL. They ended up rotating throughout the year trying to find a solution, and never found one. Is that not what happened? I'm legitimately asking

That's cool, have you never heard of players improving from year to year?
Bordelon and Moore are both redshirt seniors. The 2 guys that started in front of them last year, Mubenga and DJ Chester, may have been the 2 worst starting interior linemen in the SEC. And yet Bordelon and Moore, who are both older than Mubenga and Chester, backed them up

Implying Take Two isn't the one issuing and pump/dumping the crytpo . The leaks have to be tied to Rockstar in some capacity, which is why nothing has been spoiled in terms of story/gameplay. These "leaks" are nothing more than creative viral marketing

No, it will be a blowout. Looking at it objectively, LSU's roster isn't any better than the team they fielded the last 2 years
Seaton fixes LT, but the rest of the OL is still garbage. Moore and Bordelon couldn't start on last years team and Weston Davis was one of the worst linemen in the SEC. The RG they picked up is from a Maryland team that was just as bad running the ball. If they think Seaton is going to fix the run game, then they should look back at the 2024 team that had a top 5 pick at LT and how that line performed
The WR's are roughly a wash, Zavion Thomas went early 3rd round which is where Jayce Brown projects. The other 3 WR's will be 5-7th rounders at best
DJ Pickett should be much improved, but they lost a top 10 pick at the other corner
At best, Ty Benefield is only marginally better than AJ Haulcy
The pass rush will be improved with Princewill, but the run defense will be compromised with his inability to set the edge
They don't have to deal with Nussmeier, who may or may not have been chronically injured throughout last season, but they now have to deal with Leavitt who is coming off one of the worst injuries in football
When you factor in a new coaching staff implementing a new system with almost no continuity in place as very few players transferred with Lane and a very difficult schedule, I would be very surprised if LSU didn't lose at least 4 games this year. Given all of the above, I think it's more likely they fail to qualify for a bowl than it is they make the playoff

DeBoer won playoff games at different programs in a 3 year span, Kiffin has never coached a playoff game in 16 seasons
