re: Think About It.....Should Landen Clark maybe "Start"?!

Well, Well.......all of my points, suggestions, ideas I posted 5 days ago about Landon starting......which were summarily rejected by the simpletons who said it was absolutely insane, never/no, were ridiculed as insane/crazy......are now all of a sudden being embraced, supported, agreed to by the same simpletons!
I predicted it, explained in logical detail why it made sense, and how by starting Landon Clark could offer huge, surprised benefits (upside) - with little downside risk. Even said that Kiffin had already thought about it, and might even start Clark against Ole Miss.
Somewhere between Kiffin outright trolling about injuries, actual injury to Leavitt, and/or Kiffin's plans/worries being 10 steps ahead.....is the truth.
Anyway, my point is how average, mass TD poster is Lead, Hooked, Provoked to suddenly react, abandon their fierce opinions made 48 hours ago to instantly Flip/Follow the new storyline, news releases. Independent, out of the box thoughts, ideas escape them. Mere simpleton sheep, like Pavlov's Dogs. Ding Ding

Wait ... the coaches know better than the rantards?

When I see a post like this with over 400 downvotes to 19 upvotes it restores my faith in my fellow man.

What have we got to lose?
Worst case scenario for Saturday is us getting down a couple of scores. We have to play shootout to catch up, which nullifies much of our run game and Chambliss is probably better in a shootout.

4.5 million for Leavitt to ride the bench? Naaah

Yea, it restores the faithful fact that so many of your fellow men lack the basic ability to simply read, think critically. After reading the comments above, you conclusively realize that 87.4% had/have no idea what the OP said, wrote or was conjecturing! And the downvotes prove the above statements. You then realize, conclude another fact; which is that the average attention span of your fellow man is now about 2.4 seconds.
Linking one thought, idea in one paragraph.... to another in the next paragraph, is utterly beyond mosts cognitive capacity and/or ability! First thing that disagrees with what they've been told, causes them to parrot what they were told by the group. If challenged to think, even read, they disengage after 2.4 seconds or less and look for something quick, shiny that they've heard repeated, over & over, and return to the comfort of the group.
The downvotes confirm the reality of the simpleton majority.

You used big words and sounded very educated.
That said…looking for high fives and realistic responses on TD is like getting on a sinking ship expecting to take pictures of the Whales in the ocean

No matter who starts, the OL must play better. I'm up early and have the LA replay on, and the OL was getting pushed around the first half.

I’ll simply tell you that’s an idiotic idea. Are you trying to kill the confidence of the starter and backup? If things go wrong and we get down a couple scores, now both our QB’s confidence is shot.
Leavitt is a confident/cocky kid. Much like Burrow was/is. I’m not trying to suggest Leavitt is Burrow. He seems to carry himself that way to me at least. If you start LC, Leavitt will inevitably feel a certain type of way. At the least he’ll feel his coach doesn’t have faith in him to start and play in a big game. Worst case scenario? He checks out and is looking for a transfer.
I know you’ll say if the worst case scenario were to happen and he checked out and transfers away, you’ll just say we didn’t need him anyway with that attitude. When you fail to realize what gave him that attitude in the first place. Lack of confidence. Players want to feel a coach is going to stick with them through thick and thin good times and bad.
He hasn’t cost us any games. So why would you even make this a debate until he proves he can’t handle it.

Buddy, your proposal is that they take the second best QB on the team and start him, in a hostile environment in an extremely competitive game, in place of the best QB on the team. If you can’t see the idiocy of that you are beyond the reach of logic.
Based on your lucid post above, I’d guess you are not a moron, but then you’d have to be either an egghead lost in thought or a troll.

Start the best player. Lane thinks it is Leavitt.

What you are suggesting as far as getting backups ready has been done for years. Just not as starters.

Longstreet is 1-1 for 33 yards.
Extrapolate those numbers out and he’s the GOAT. Start him and the 2019 offense looks like a Miles slogfest.
