The issue is I’ve seen at least 4 hits on Leavitt, while he was in the pocket, that were easy roughing calls not get a flag. Then last night the officials just refused to flag Kentucky unless it was blatant.

At least 3 blocks in the back on the punt return.

The false start no-call.

We just need to face it: we’re not going to be catching too many fair breaks from the zebras with Birmingham in their ear.

It was honestly the worst officiated game that I’ve ever watched. Not just LSU, but ever.

The fourth down run near the goal line before half was completely stopped and there should have been a whistle. This entire premise that you can simply just push the pile for however long you want until you score is ridiculous

Blaming the refs is such a pussy cop out.

That game was handed to us multiple times on a shiny silver platter and we shite the bed each time on both sides of the ball. Almost like we didn’t even wanna win. Idk how else you collapse that badly.

Refs sucked but we lost that game nobody else lost it for us.

Stop complaining about the tush push. He was never down. It was the right call.

How do you overcome bad calls by refs? Take advantage of the opportunities presented to you to put away your opponent. Plus look like to me, LSU's OL kept collasping at critical junctions.

Bottom line - Kentucky was the better team. But not by much.

Suck it up Tigahs. Lick your wounds and get ready for da next game. IMO you're still in the runnin.

Are you including the refs making a bunch of terrible pro-LSU calls that got reversed ? And a phantom personal foul ?

When your opponent misses 2 FGs in the final minutes to tie it up and you hand them the ball right back, thats on you not on anyone else.

The ref situation is beyond our control so crying about it does nothing. And it’s nothing new. But us not capitalizing on opportunities to close out the game at the end? We can control that.

It blows the theory out of the water if the refs are making a bunch of terrible calls in real time that help LSU.

Like that retarded targeting or the clear catch the TE made at the end of the game

If the theory is the SEC has it out for LSU, then we wouldn't see that

When is the last time an offense went an entire game without a penalty?

The argument isn't that the refs were perfect

How are the refs against LSU when they kept making terrible calls to help LSU?

It’s not pussy to blame the refs in this case though.

They gifted UK 14 points and then didn’t kill their drives with legit penalties.

All the while we were being flagged left and right.

Are we to accept a rigged game??

The problem with that is:
His momentum was completely stopped, the refs were running in to spot the ball short and the defense was already letting up and signalling they had made the stop. After all that the UK OL push the QB into the end zone.

By every definition his forward process was stopped.

It’s the circumstances around the penalties or non penalties that matter. Not whether or not they occurred.

You would argue with the sun for rising

I don’t have the energy for your nerd contrarian shite

If you think the ref situation was fine I’m happy for you

It’s fricking amazing that everyone here knows exactly what your arguments will be in these threads

Goddamn you must be a shitty lawyer

Sorry Harry, but close games are won and lost on close or no calls. Momentum shifts when psychology kicks in the players heads after a blown call. Emotion is part of the game and it's well understood to those in the know.

The old adage "they should've won it anyway", doesn't fly in a game with 2 closely competitive teams. Game officials matter.
