re: Not an excuse, a fact. The refs changed the outcome of this game.

The crown is defined using facts. It's " the portion of the helmet above the facemask." That's not an opinion.
Whether it’s used in a tackle is fully subjective though. It’s literally a decision that’s up to the discretion of the official. That’s the definition of subjective.

This is the same silliness of you not understanding targeting isn't subjective, either.
Targeting is the very definition of subjective enforcement.

It wasn’t so much the refs in Lexington as it was the poons in Birmingham in the control room.

That's irrelevant when arguing the refs were against LSU because that argument is based on their calls in real time.
I don’t think the refs were against LSU, but if I did, I could argue that refs understand impactful plays vs non impactful plays.

No that just requires contact, which is factual

I'm describing the definition, which is factual.
We saw last night with the refs making a terrible pro-LSU call that the enforcement can be bad

Rational v. emotional, mijo.

Still wrong.

Still wrong. You’re literally arguing that targeting is a binary outcome, when it’s not. It up to the official to decide whether it was targeting, which is the very definition of subjectivity.
I’m done with you.

It is. It's specifically designated by facts.

I already described your pivot. You can stop it now.

I’ve never pivoted. You just don’t know the difference between subjective and objective, or fact and opinion.

I know that on the punt return, an LSU guy was in position to make the tackle and was pushed in the back and out of the play.

I agree, the officiating sucked and was one sided. Despite that, the Tigers were still in a position to win, but threw it away.
I don't think that is completely correct. In a close game the refs can intentionally change the outcome with just one obvious "mistake". They don't have to make a dozen. This game had more than just one obvious "mistake" and all were critical.

You called him a predictable contrarian, and his defense was to proudly provide another example.
Even watching LSU has to become a TED Talk about how much more rational and emotionally disciplined SFP is than everyone else.

Thanks to AI, I'm getting answers to your questions from just yesterday
Navy had no offensive penalties
Illinois had 1
Northern Illinois had 1
Indiana had 1
So not really an outlier scenario

JP4LSU, LSU is losing games by coming out flat and not getting TDs on opening drives. LSU can change all of this by being the bully and punching the ball into the end zone on the opening drive. This sets the tone of the game and then pour on more TDs. Don’t expect greatness in any coach’s first year at the helm.

You're pivoting from definition to enforcement
I already said refs clearly make mistakes, like how they made a terrible targeting call that was pro-LSU as my example.

Wrong. I’ve been talking about enforcement the entire time. YOU keep talking about the definition.
Every rules is designated by facts and most of them are subjectively enforced based on the officials opinion about those facts.
You don’t seem to grasp that.

Yes, I figured out your contrarian stance early on. I don’t really care about that.
I’m laughing at your notion that penalties are “facts” when they’re literally the opinion of the official.
The OPINION of the officials last night was that Kentucky committed zero offensive penalties for the entire game. We know that is factual because it’s literally impossible, but their SUBJECTIVE enforcement of the rules said they played perfectly.

Last week
Indiana had 0 penalties (offense or defense)
Rutgers had 1
Air Force had 1
I haven't even gone through all the games.

Here’s my best SFP interpretation:
Three of your four examples had an offensive penalty. One isn’t zero.
The remaining example, if verified, establishes that it happened elsewhere. It doesn’t establish how common it is. What’s your denominator?
You’re confusing “not unprecedented” with “not an outlier.”
I realize basic statistical reasoning puts me in a small minority on this board, but I assumed you could at least distinguish zero from one. Apparently I overestimated your capabilities.
