Stanley Roberts
He only played one season (1989-1990), was the other 7-foot tall center playing alongside Shaq and they were known as "The Twin Towers". I loved when they were on the court at the same time...blocking machines! If only he could have played for more than one year, but you know...academics got in the way.

I love how this site keeps you honest. You never know who's going to pop up and call you out.

I lived in t&c and grew up with characters they could have made a sitcom around.
Did you go to Jack Hayes? We can narrow it down that way.

CAD.....we tried this before.
The person I am thinking was not a sports fan at all and had no clue of LSU.
No one will care your last name. I was on Karen lane. But geez man.

Ethan Martin- most people don’t realize just how good of a PG he was.
One of my all time favorites. Smooth as butter.

He was not necessarily underrated as a superstar recruit at Redemptorist, but DERRICK TAYLOR is not mentioned enough on the short list of all-time LSU point guards. He was smooth and dependable like Ethan Martin and was a big reason why the team he led unexpectedly made a Final Four run in 1986. The legend Chris Jackson overshadowed some very good players between him and Maravich, understandably, so maybe that's why Taylor is under appreciated.
Other than John Williams, the 1986 team was mainly role players who caught fire (and a favorable first two games at the PMAC) at the right time. That team was ahead of Louisville at the half and appeared on the way to the final but it wasn't meant to be. What a run while it lasted though!

Man I think so. People don’t realize how good Randy was before his injuries. (They were talking about this in the radio yesterday.)
He was probably the best high school player of any sport to come through Louisiana . 2 x national player of the year and was every bit as good as Jason Kidd if not better. (He was co-national player of the year with Kidd as a junior when Kidd was a senior).
He was AAU player of the year 4-5 times before that. Still had a 10 year nba career with bad knees.
Coach K called him the best high school player he’d ever seen.
Pair him with Ronnie Henderson who was a great player as well and they would have been some exciting teams for Dale Brown. Probably would have extended his career a bit

I remember LSU Kentucky 1996 in the PMac. Sat on the fourth row. Ronnie and a back from injury Randy on the court.
And Uk scored 86 in the first half. It was like watching an all star AAU team warmup there were so many dunks. There had to have been at least a five min part of the half were we didn’t even get the ball past half court.
That was with Ronnie and Randy on the court.

Somebody beat me to it, but…
Floyd Bailey, the “Dubberly Dude”
Program guy who played a huge role in the 1978 OT win vs #1 KY after all 5 LSU starters fouled out (and a couple of Wildcats, including Kyle Macy.) Probably the most fun BB game I ever attended (freshman year as an LSU student was part of the mystique.)
Daddy Dale’s coaching could be frustrating, but those were certainly exciting times.
