Ethan Martin. If they would have had the 3 point line back then he would have scored like Chris Jackson. He was money from the top of the key.

I know they've been mentioned but Ricky Blanton, Ice Reynolds, Cookieman, & Ethan Martin (who played on my BREC league team), immediately come to my mind.

Would dale have gotta lsu back in contention?
Maybe.
But LSU had started to trend down a little bit before that. Dale had some really talented teams, maybe his most talented teams, in the late 80's and early 90's. Yet, from 88-93, LSU couldn't get past the 2nd round in the tournament. In fact, in most years they lost in the first round.

Ricky Blanton. Because of injuries, he was asked to play center at 6’6” against KY’s SkyWalker, an All American in the 1986 NCAA tournament Final Four run. One of the most exciting upsets in LSU Basketball history. I may have gotten the year wrong but recall this game particularly because Ricky manned up and frustrated Sky Walker into a sub par performance was a critical contribution to a huge win.

And John Salley from GT if my memory is intact

I don't know about under- rated, but Jose Vargas about the most entertaining. My very favorite.

Derrick Taylor was a great PG for a Final Four team. He was almost automatic from the top of the key.

Gotcha but to be fair to brown most of those seasons had injuries, prop 48 issues, and the ncaa breathing down his back
