Geert Hammink
He had the daunting task of replacing Shaq, averaged 15 and 10 in his final season at LSU.

Ronnie Henderson
Not because he wasn't recognized in his time (he was a 2x All SEC 1st team player). It's because he is largely forgotten because he played at the end of Dale's tenure when LSU began its downslide. He and Livingston were going to be the best backcourt LSU ever had. Both were McDonald's All Americans. Of course, Livingston got hurt, but Henderson lived up to the billing.

Under rated in the fact that he is not mentioned in the same tier as Shaq, Chris Jackson (Mahmoud), and Rudy Macklin....
But John Williams was an All-American level player that led LSU to the 1986 Final Four. A NBA lottery pick who enjoyed eating too much to make it last in the NBA.

Duane Spencer in Dale's last season.
Team sucked but he was quite good.
Someone already mentioned Ronnie Henderson but he more rarely gets brought up only because the team sucked generally speaking when he was here but just absolutely filled up buckets

If Livingston doesn’t get hurt and earl doesn’t have the ncaa stuff

Ethan Martin. Short point guard but very effective as a starter during the Final Four season in 1980-81.
Also Greg Cook - big guy who was a defensive stopper down low.

Ethan Martin- most people don’t realize just how good of a PG he was.

I don't know about underrated, but there are players that don't really get talked about as much anymore and maybe aren't as appreciated as they were then. But much of that is probably due to when they played.
For me, the guy I rarely see mentioned anymore is Ethan Martin, who was the point guard on the 80-81 Final Four team. He was a selfless player on a team with some really good talent: Rudy Macklin, Howard Carter, Leonard Mitchel, Willie Sims, and Greg Cook. He is still talked about by people in my circle, but we are all in our 60s. I don't think it's a slight; it is just the nature of athletics.
It's also kind of cool that he went to HS(McKinley) less than a mile from LSU.
