.it’s been a slow start at the bat
Just go ahead and say you don't actually watch LSU baseball games. It would avoid you sounding like an idiot....
I am getting a god feeling
So do I pray to you that you're right?...

re: Emery Jr makes room for Simon?

We were still counting Emery on our scholarship total? Didn't know that....
Make that trade, then turn around and trade the pick to the Vikings for their 2 first rounders. And then throw in David Goddamn Putney because I feel like it....
God forbid he ever steps up to the plate in a pressure situation though
You could say that about the entire team this season. So why is Jones the scape goat?...

re: LSU looking to add another WR?

I viewed Thomas as an upgrade in the return game after swinging and missing with Aaron Anderson. Not so much as a guy who would unseat Hilton as a starter....
Maineri had a kid (can’t remember name) who didn’t hit well but was a great CF. Blond-headed boy who made many great catches. He was almost an automatic out but he played because he could cover half the OF on his own.
And then the next season, he improved and one of the best hitt...
Jones with 116 113 111 110
And at least two of those were on breaking balls. But he can't hit breaking balls either....

re: Jeremiah Hughes to the Portal
Okay but why aren’t our DTs transferring out?
We don't need them transferring out, we need DTs transferring in. Depth at DT is paper thin as it is....
So where does that leave us overall, scholarship wise? If I recall, we ended spring with 88, now Braithwaite becomes the 5th Tiger to enter the portal, freeing up 2 scholarship spots. Am I right? And best of luck to Mr. Braithwaite!...
There's also that Skenes guy who is pretty good too. And all the other former Tigers playing pro ball. But, yes, I'm excited about Crews too and he shouldn't last much longer in the Minors....
evaluated again in coming weeks
Fake news! Everyone knows the Pels only evaluate every two weeks, not in coming weeks....

re: Best starter for Sundays?

Posted by sportsfan on 4/17/24 at 11:21 am
I know he hasn't had the best outings in SEC out of the bullpen, but I'd still like to see Kade Anderson as the Sunday starter. Hell, if the season continues on this nose dive and post season becomes a pipe dream, give Cam a shot on a Sunday. ...
Who leads off tonight? Probably the only player we haven't tried there yet is Travinski....
Neal wasn’t expected to be an everyday player in that catcher rotation.
What? He was starting day one as a true freshman and started almost every game until his injury last year. ...

I think you can go down the entire roster and find issues with everyone except maybe Holman. Neal - can't hit anything outside of mediocre pitching. Jones - leads in Ks (expected), and hasn't come through much in clutch spots. Milam - struggling against SEC pitching. Braswell - defense has bee...

re: Looking to the dugout after pitches

Posted by sportsfan on 4/15/24 at 12:42 pm
In case you're not trolling, which I hope you are...Jay gives the signs from the dugout, not the 3rd base coach....
But StarGazer said his offer list sucked and he'll never be more than a special teams player. On3 doesn't know what they are talking about....
Ashton Larson and Steven Milam are both holding up their own at the plate, playing good defense, and hustling so I'd be all for letting them play out the rest of the year and get experience.
If there is a bright side to anything this baseball season, it's these two for me. Larson s...
Guess I spoke too soon. Nuss made that first drive look easy...
