re: Texas A&M 10 @ LSU 4 Final

We got the good Evans tonight boys!!
Just my opinion, trying to take off my P&G glasses. Haven almost certainly has the best NFL projection, largely due to his measurables. He has a cannon attached to his shoulder and can make all the throws.

I'm not going the Moscona route and calling Houston a system QB, but I do think Pop fits Kiffin system better than Haven might. I said it even before CLK got here that Pop just looks like a Kiffin-type QB.

He's waiting until all 15 guys are signed then he will do a full roster reveal.

I'm joking, of course, but that would be entertaining.
Knowing Loomis, he will trade up to 5 and take someone he could have gotten in the second round.

No thanks.

We all knew about Leavitt already.

Solomon Thomas has been in a boot all spring.

Other than that, that's all I got.

Jake Latz off to a good start in '26

mlb.com article on a former Tiger.

Latz's start to '26 hasn't just been good - it's historic

quote:

Opponents opened the season 0-for-30 against Latz, marking the longest hitless streak ever by a Texas pitcher to begin the season in franchise history (previous high: Yu Darvish, 26 in 2013). The home run he gave up to Max Muncy in Los Angeles on April 10 was the first hit he surrendered all season. Opponents are still 3-for-35 (.086) against him in 2026.

No way he’s coming back

I wouldn't say "no way". Obviously he's an elite prospect and one of the main reasons he withdrew from the draft out of high school was to show he could add some power to his game.

I don't think he has done that yet and he would still have leverage next season if he chose to come back. I honestly don't expect it, but also don't think it's a foregone conclusion.

There are tons of athletes still sitting in the portal. Unfortunately, there's probably a good reason they are still unsigned.

Sidenote: Javien Toviano is still without a team according to 247. Not saying I want or don't want him back, but he just caught my eye when scrolling through.
Strong arse offers take time. He’s not writing personal checks anymore.

Sounds like a little buyers remorse on Clark and Husan.

Or it sounds like two young QBs, whom we are not counting on to be immediate impact players, learning how hard it is to play against an SEC defense.

re: LSU offense in the spring...

Pretty much a brand new 2 deep on offense, 3 new QB's (the best can't practice), new HC, new OC, going against what should be a very good SEC defense, less than two weeks of actual practice.

Honest question, what were your expectations at this point?

William Patrick at either of those spots.

You've mentioned him a couple times at 2nd base. To your knowledge, has he gotten any work there? I thought he was solely an OF?

Ok and if Wade makes the tournament with the current roster

If the General makes the tournament with one player, he immediately jumps everyone on the all-time list and becomes the GOAT of all GOATs.

Disregarding the idiocy of Wholestaffing a Friday game, starting Evans on a midweek is no guaranteed win either. He has been so Jekyl and Hyde this year, he looks like an All-American one week then looks like he needs his scholarship stripped the next.

re: Lafayette Sports Radio

Lafayette sports radio is pretty cringeworthy most of the time. RP3 spends 80% of his air time talking about food and Foote just rants about anything and everything. I actually worry about him having a stroke or a heart attack in the middle of one of his shows.
Clauss is worth a shot. I was high on Ruckert coming into the season and still think he's going to be a good one. But he hasn't exactly made the most of his opportunities this season.
A Colonel and a General…sounds like a Pearfect match!
