The DJ is staying as long as the players on the field want it. It's not about the fans, it's to accommodate the players
the players aren't the paying customers. The fans are.

And if the players need that music to get pumped up, then we've got the wrong players.

The DJ music is so damn loud too! You literally cannot hold a conversation with the people next to you when it's blaring.

I complained in the email survey.

Unrelated.

It is absolutely related. They will continue to play music over the band as long as the students chant neck

I wonder if reducing the amount and volume of piped in music would have an impact on people leaving early? Probably minimal, but people might be more likely to stay if they were getting the band experience. Just a thought that popped up in my head when I was reading this thread.

It is not related. It is the trend of professionalizing college sports, squeezing traditions like bands out in place of generic rap music.

Then the administration is tone-deaf.

What does that have to do with running that s***** arse f****** music up until one second before the other team snaps the ball completely drowning out our freaking yelling at the stadium?

If the players are only here because of a DJ then they need to go

And once again, they played piped in music while the band was playing - this was in the 2nd half when the student section was 1/2 empty and I didn’t hear STTDB.

More band
Less censorship

If all you have to gripe about is the DJ, you need to get a life.

I would rather hear the students chant STTDB during every song, every break, after every play, every down than hear one note of piped in music while the band is in the stands.

It’s so hypocritical to say that they’re playing piped in music to combat STTDB when the music they pipe in is nearly just as vulgar.

If so, then why is the DJ allowed to play Set It Off, which the students scream the unedited lyrics to?

Have you heard the vulgar shite the DJ is playing? You're out your box if you think think they are using the DJ to block out profanity with more profanity

If piped in music is going to be played it should only be during TV timeouts.

When the game is happening it should only be the band.

If the DJ stopped today, it would take years to organically get the atmosphere back and almost relearn the culture. Fans - band - chants - debauchary

exactly. It is crystal clear that they don’t want the students chanting so the piped in music drowns it out . End of story.
