It's is trying to be like basketball. Kentucky was terrible, but it had some rhythm to it. LSU is trying to keep one in tradition and one in the ghetto. There is no real logic to it. Who picks what, when they play it or why.

Everyone is killing the traditions of CFB, forgetting that that is what made it great. The band, the fight songs, the chants, that is what built the passion for the sport. If you ask a current student, they will say we can't play neck. That isn't a tradition. Piping in shitty music over the plays and the different parts of the game isn't a college tradition its a professional football standard. It's to appease the far crappyier and obnoxious fans of today. The random front runners, who it seems LSU has a ton of. Look on the video boards there are very young kids singing the rap songs word for word and dancing scripted moves to it. Society is promoting that trash.

That’s ignorant. Will the players not show up w/o a DJ? But 103,000 of the paying public might.

The players warm up to the music the DJ plays. They react on the field to the music during timeouts. Yes it's for the player and not, you, the fans. Get use to it.

As I stated upthread, the players can learn to motivate themselves, they're employees now. My employer doesn't cater to my every whim and I'm pretty sure yours doesn't either.

As for the STTDB chant, LSU needs to worry less about vulgar chants in the stadium and worry more about what's going on outside the stadium. If they think naughty words are a black eye, wait til some innocent bystander gets hurt or killed at a tailgate.

As always, the only tool you have to get what you want is your pocketbook. But the admin will keep looking at sellouts and say it must not be that bad.

Don’t believe it’s the student issue- I believe it just a copycat move that others are doing also.

This. It is the trend in major venues.

I have been following and going to games in TS for 45 yrs now and it doesnt bother me one way or the other. Everybody wanted the LED lights... well they dont do much if you dont have sound coordintation with it. Who knew LEDs were the gateway drug to piped in music.

I get tired of the endless promotions every break but the TV breaks are so long that I guess it could be worse.

The “let’s honor every single thing on earth at every break possible” (save for veterans and pilots and championship teams) is getting very old.

The school is going to do everything for the players on gameday. The fans are not important once the game starts

Did the DJ culture pick the homecoming court? The majority needs to stop deferring to the minority and the lowest common denominator. Diversity is ok but not at the expense of the reality. Can we just stop the pandering and hype?

This should tell you everything about the issue…. TV mics the band so we can hear them while watching and you don’t hear the DJ at all. So that shows 99% of the football watching world wants to hear the band and pageantry of the game via dumb arse DJ.

I was there and it is shite. Rewatching on TV is very pleasant.
