Box score makes it seem like we played well enough to win it.

Gave up too many easy baskets near the rim and had some untimely misses.

Team played well and with good effort though.

You kissed a good one man. We played hard, in the end we just had a couple more turnovers than them and they got 10 offensive rebounds. But honestly we played well considering it was at rupp. A lot to be proud of. Worth watching the replay of ya missed it. We had a chance to tie it at the end

We did play well enough to win. Nothing “went wrong’. UK was just a touch better.

Got outrebounded in first half. Made defensive adjustments at half and did better job on the boards but had a couple of shots blocked and got a questionable charge near end of game. They also hit some big 3's as did Allen. Could have won it. Hannibal gave the ball up too much when driving to the goal. When he passed they missed or got blocked. Probably would have drawn fouls if he kept it but was a great effort since they got down by 10 at half and could have lost it and gotten blown out.

UK is not a great UKteam and this team doesn’t know how to block out.

I think I said it before. We probably didn't have a great chance here. You know.

Decently officiated. One bad call against each team so call it even.

Oscar T ate us up on the boards — first half was like they got two possessions out of every possession & not for lack of effort on our end, their PG played most under control he has all year, every bounce / loose ball went their way + they had dudes hitting 3s that don’t ever hit 3s.

We shot the ball well from the field, just couldn’t find the clutch baskets in clutch moments. A few untimely bad possessions.

I’m impressed, think they are far from their ceiling — could be an interesting year. You can tell they are still figuring themselves out.

LSU made the rebound numbers respectable by the end but a good portion of the game Kentucky was dominating the boards especially on the offensive boards.

No, drizztiger. Neither Lester or myself give two shits about LSU Basketball. I just started this thread for shits and giggles and he responded because he’s not interested either.

In fact, no one gives more shits than you about LSU Basketball from what I hear.

LSU did better than expected, not a terrible loss

The difference was Calipery challenging Tobbin and he responded with 21 points.

LSU played very well on the road. They shot very well from 3 and shot well overall. If they would have gotten more physical with rebounding earlier in the game, they would have won. As it was, they still had a chance to tie it on the last play and just weren't able to do it. They were extremely close to stealing the ball in the backcourt with under 10 seconds left to potentially take the lead, but the ball bounced off of us out of bounds. Encouraging game either way.

Giving up too many second chance points off offensive rebounds and empty possessions off from bad turnovers

Yep. Offensive rebounds in particular cost LSU.

Looking at rebounds, every defensive rebound is a missed offensive rebound. LSU had 5 offensive rebounds, UK had 21 defensive rebounds. That's a lot of missed opportunities for a second shot. Offensive rebounds have been a concern for LSU.
