re: Michigan wins 69-63 over UConn for second NCAAM national championship.

First half was comical with fouls, UConn thinned out, Michigan is the better team but call the game right and make them earn it. I’m a big Hurley fan and will admit Michigan at its best is better than UConn at its best this year, but let’s see them earn it so I can appreciate it more.

No, a miss is not a blunder in my opinion, in the UConn game the right play was made and the shot gave them a chance to win, if he misses he misses, but the chance to be successful was correct cause the right pass gave him the opportunity to even have a chance.
re: UNC to hire Michael Malone

I personally think not was a great hire and exactly who they wanted it to be. Since Hubert a lot of the baby blue nation wanted to re-emphasize Carolina’s play thru the big men and Malone checks off the boxes here. Anyone worried about recruiting shouldn’t, the brand sells itself. In an interview with Tyler hamdsborough it sounds like this has been a done deal since Friday and who they wanted. I know there a lot of ppl who wanted Billy Donovan but there are alot of uncertainties there and May not have even been possible. I’m curious to watch these guys play next year. Mainly I wanna see if he keeps that secondary break tempo or goes to a more traditional and balanced tempo, guess we shall see!

Your 100 percent right, protecting the paint, extra possessions, 2nd chance points
Big Men

It’s crazy to me how dumb some ppl on here are when they argue that Big men don’t matter, yet they sit here and watch final four and act like the final four hasn’t been dominated by bigs. Not just this year, but at least the last 5-7 years.
re: UCONN men’s basketball strange dominance.

Exactly, get players that get your system and your area regardless of how many starts by their name. UConn is famous for this, no pre/madonna’s on a Hurley team. All coachable and buy into a system.

Finesse team vs physicalteam, even if they do have more talent, which they don’t, this is usually what happens in this kinda match up

I’d really like if he went out and got the point guard from Mcnease
re: Duke committed two violations on game winning play - officials swallowed their whistles
Posted by Primeminister337 on 3/29/26 at 8:10 pm to tigersbb
First, right call or not Duke deserved to win that game, we got out played and out coached .
Second, illegal screens, holds and minor violations are never gonna be called at the end of the game, kinda like a Hail Mary in football, pass ineference ain’t being called. So as a player you have to know and expect this,
Last, this is what happens when ya leave your feet on every three duke shoots. I’d bet if she ran at her hands up that shot doesn’t go in, but we jumped at every shot from first quarter to the 4th and in the end, us not being disciplined enough got us.

96 Kentucky easy, best I’ve ever seen. I go back and forth with them and UNLV as best team ever
re: Hey, Mr. JimTiger, do you want to make fun of me any more by donating 5k to LSU?

I have no doubt Armstrong self then Mcneese kid our way, and would bet Wade was recruiting him before he left Mcneese. That would be a huge piece for our generals return.

Madking, I’ll say this, if he had the roster with cook and wright a couple years back he’d make the tourney easy and be a nightmare for someone to have to play lol

Nah if he had reed we would have only won 1 NC cause he would have left as the number 1 pick in the draft after his first one lmao!

Good coaches do have the possibility to make the tournament in year one and of they don’t, they at least leave you with the feeling that it’s comming next year. As a fan of the sport and LSU , you recognize right away if ya got the right guy for the job regardless of year one in my opinion. The writing is usually on the wall. A feeling most of us never truley felt with Mcman.

Tournament every year, or at least 4 out of every 5

I thought Mcman developed all these players? Once Reed goes number 1 in the draft the haters will see lol

I can assure you it’s the X’s and the O’s just as much as the Jimmy and the Joe’s.very very bland offensive style and don’t get me started on the defense, it honestly reminds me of a 2 or 3A high school coaching style used to emphasize fundementals, which is fine for high school but doesn’t fly at the college level. Maybe he could get away with it at Murray St due to the level of competition but not in the SEC. Zero wrinkles in it very predictable .

I hear what your saying my man and always respect what bring to the table ATL. But most coaches, especially when trying to fins the new age ones are long shots until someone gives them a chance and heck maybe I could be wrong on Braeur. And it’s kinda out of character for me for me to push this hard for a guy cause I’m usually the first question any hire but I feel like at the price we would have to pay for him, combined with our current situation he’s worth the gamble.as far as their strength of schedule, yeah I get it, but winning that many games at any school regardless of schedule is not easy. One key thing I look for in a coaching prospect is if they are able to rip off 9-10 games in a row. Cause come March, if we ever want to dream about maybe a final four on the future you gotta have a coach that can win 5 games just to get into that position in the tourney. That’s just my opinion and to each his own, I just feel like it’s great value considering the state of our program right now. Also, one thing I didn’t add was when it comes to locking the right coach you gotta consider style of play. Unlike Macman he’s already building his identity. Tough nose defense which in a style that adapts very well to the SEC. A lot of guys in this board throw out names cause of success a coach is having but don’t take into consideration if his style of play fits our conference and style of player fits our region. Style of play and regional fit are major factors, it’s kinda like taking a high profile PAC 12 coach and putting him in the SEC , it just doesn’t work out sometimes

Look Matt Braeur is the guy, all these other coaches are complete long shots. And saying he lost in the conference finals today to a really good Mcneese team who talent wise was head and shoulders better should not be held against the guy. O btw the tournament was in LakenCharles too. He’s got the age, he’s been taught by great coach’s and he’s gonna be easily affordable. So even if ya think he’s “not ready”, why not take a chance and have him for when he is ready cause it’s gonna be wayyyy sooner than later. FYI my second choice is Bill Armstrong, yeah I said it lol

Kinda off subject, but when it comes to spending NIL, first priority should be getting the PG at Mcneese, I can promise you he’s gonna be on the list of quite a few teams, Kid can flat out play
