He was the third overall pick in the 1963 AFL draft (NY Jets).
Two days later the NFL held their draft, and Jerry was the second overall pick (St. Louis Cardinals).
He signed with St. Louis and made multiple Pro Bowls during his NFL career.

Aw man, that makes me sad. I met him once. He was a great guy, and a good Christian man.

Very classy man, all-time great Tiger, loved LSU, and a follower of Jesus.

Man Moscona breaks so many stories now. One of the best in the business

Decent coach. What might have been if Bo Rein didn't die in that plane crash? The 1982 team was good enough to hang with Nebraska in the Orange bowl, losing by a point. The OPI was a horrible call.

Years ago I worked for a major corporation. I was asked to represent them in the United Way Campaign. Also asked to oversee the campaign, Jerry Stovall. One of the best I’ve ever been associated with.
RIP Coach Stovall.

should have won the Heisman his last year. I believe it was a QB from either of the Oregon universities. Stovall was playing both ways as well as returning punts. He was robbed by the West Coast voters.
Absolutely, Jerry should have won. He also punted.
I always felt the fact that his year in 61, was too close to Cannon’s Heisman, in 59.
Terry Baker, QB from Oregon St won.
Jerry teamed with Larry Wilson to produce on of the best secondaries for years at St Louis,Cardinals.
RIP Jerry #21. One of my all time favorites.
