I think we will be better both on O and D. We’ve upgraded the staff. Play calling will be top shelf. D has upgraded. Pass rush returns. Baby Boy Brigade will keep us fresh. Looking forward to see Ty B.

OM D worse w/o Princewill and TJ. Can’t stop the run. New OC. Pressure is on OM due to achievements of last year.

Yes, he is physically grown with special abilities. But, we don’t know his upbringing and emotional maturity based on his relationship with his mother. The fact that she is his agent, speaks volumes. I want to believe that he didn’t sign off to the full extent of what his “people” sent to LSU, because I really like him. But, if you read between the lines of his follow up release, it appears that he feels regrets, but doesn’t know how to make it go away. Based on his relationship with his mother, he can’t fire her, like a normal agent relationship that failed you. So, I agree “he could have shut it down before it ever got started”, but that requires a normal relationship with an “agent”.

I thought Butler had some good plays last year as a rotational player. Could be depth for the edge, especially defending the run.

I think that the timing of this is critical. It was promised BEFORE JD won the Heisman. Honoring the promise is the right thing to do. The fact that it doesn’t violate the policy issued in 2007 should not be left out of the analysis.
