Looks like there will be Permit Checkpoints on Game Day according to map on LSUsports.net

For last two games last year, they started checking parking permits four hours before kickoff. I don't see anything on LSUsports.net that indicates when the permit checking starts...anyone have a clue?

I do not think the new administration will stand for the shenanigans that occurred last year (especially South Carolina).

So I didn’t get physical parking passes this year. Had to download it like a digital ticket. Is this new? It also has an assigned spot. That ain’t gonna fly lol

All that lack of public parking is going to cause tailgating to take a hit. I can't believe the current administration is going so hard on "paid parking" which is going to eliminate what makes LSU so great. The tail gating.
Also heard now anyone who brings in a trailer has to have a permit as well as pay extra. I understand trying to police some of the activities on campus, but it's a double edge sword.

From what I heard (not from any reputable source though) it will be 2:30 for the 6:30 kickoff. We will be on campus early for this one so I won't have to worry about getting through any of those.
Maybe gameday ops will have something official out this week.

If Chicken is on here seeking guidance, we're all doomed

Tailgating is fine and great for the people who have tickets to the game and intend to attend the game. The people who come to campus simply to tailgate with no ticket and no intention of going to the game do nothing but add to the congestion. They are basically loitering and their only contribution is taking up the limited space for parking, adding more people to the mix to control, and generally just causing burden to the actual paying customers (i.e. ticket holders)
As a ticketholder, I'm fine with LSU taking steps to limit the number of people who are on campus who aren't going to the game itself. If you want to have a tailgate party but not go to the game, go tailgate at home. The fans attending the game are more than capable of maintaining the tailgating atmosphere LSU is known for.

Chicken likely has a source he can contact directly for the information he needs.
But as a concerned business owner with a lot of customers who may also benefit from the information, he starts a thread here because it gets the information out there with a megaphone.

That was likely intentional, no?

This is such a bad take. If you eliminated people that don't actually attend the games, campus would feel dead. Stopping people from doing something enjoyable just to make your experience more convenient is selfish.

So you expect multiple checkpoints at every campus entrance to validate the 100,000 tickets prior to campus admission?
You’d have traffic backed up to Grammercy, Hammond, and on the Atchafalaya basin from the primary Interstate flows. The following week we’d be lucky to have 50,000 at the stadium.

Old Front 9 3 was the free walkons lot right?

Agree with this one hundred percent.

There are 90k - 100k people who DO attend the game. I'm pretty confident in saying campus wouldn't be "dead" if it were just them on campus.
Plus, LSU isn't hosting a picnic. They are hosting an event to generate revenue. The primary source of the revenue is game sales (tickets, concessions, parking). If you aren't attending the game yet taking up the very limited free parking that could be available to ticketholders and adding more traffic congestion to an already extremely crowded area just with the 100k people attending the game what exactly are you contributing financially to LSU? If anything, it's more selfish to the people who are giving money to LSU.
