Old Front 9 3 was the free walkons lot right?
It was but not this year. You pay on gameday as you enter the lot. First come first serve.
Old Front Nine 1 is reserved parking now with a season pass. Old Front Nine 2 is individual game parking but prepaid only on the lsusports.net website. Each month’s games go on sale on the 1st business day of the previous month. Example, September games went on sale on August 3rd.

Tailgating is fine and great for the people who have tickets to the game and intend to attend the game. The people who come to campus simply to tailgate with no ticket and no intention of going to the game do nothing but add to the congestion. They are basically loitering and their only contribution is taking up the limited space for parking, adding more people to the mix to control, and generally just causing burden to the actual paying customers (i.e. ticket holders)
As a ticketholder, I'm fine with LSU taking steps to limit the number of people who are on campus who aren't going to the game itself. If you want to have a tailgate party but not go to the game, go tailgate at home. The fans attending the game are more than capable of maintaining the tailgating atmosphere LSU is known for.
You're being downvoted but you're absolutely right.

I love the "i got tickets, therefore myself and others with tickets should only be allowed to tailgate" posts. Nothing like pulling up the ladder behind you. I suppose you don't like it when people stand up in tiger stadium, hate the loud rap music, and get annoyed when you can't hear 98.1 coming in through your headset when people cheer.
That's not the case at all. It's viewed from a pure business perspective. Given LSU is charging some relatively high amounts for people to attend a game wouldn't stand to reason LSU has a vested interest in prioritizing accommodating those people so that they will remain paying customers? If it is continually more expensive and burdensome for the people buying the tickets and paying for parking to attend the game, then at some point they may stop purchasing tickets. Then what is left? The people who are coming on to campus who aren't paying for parking, or a ticket, or concessions, and have no intentions to do so? It's not exactly a great business model to give paying customers a reason not to attend simply to ensure non-paying customers continue to have access.

Amen to that. It’s the best kept secret out there. (Except i park at a buddy house that lives on Stanford). Never ever have to worry about traffic and can stay for the whole game.

I’m having a hard time figuring out how you get past the checkpoints to the free parking by the law school or WCA?

o I didn’t get physical parking passes this year. Had to download it like a digital ticket. Is this new?
Yes. Parking inner campus should still be paper pass, but outside checkpoints are being switched over to digital.
Wave of the future.

Absolutely an idiot. LSU is known world wide for its tailgating. Literally every year people who ARENT EVEN A FAN OF WHO WE ARE PLAYING AGAISNT, show up just to experience the tailgating. And on any given day, there are more fans tailgating than actually at the game.
And for the 'its only for the fans with tickets" If you dont stay until the end of the game. I mean all the way to the very last second; you lose your season tickets. Sell your tickets to another person? Lose your season tickets. Sell them to opposing fan base? Lifetime ban from ever getting into LSU ever again.
