You geniuses would have run two Heisman winners out their first year. I think Kiffin might know what he is doing more than you. If he thinks he’s terrible he’ll be replaced.

He isn’t anything freaking dumbass. 3 fricking games at game speed. Thank God we didn’t say that about Daniels after season 1 with his no passing arse self holding onto the ball to the point Killy threatened to bench his arse.
Burrow had 35 sacks in 13 games in 2018.
It's not a statistically significant difference.

Some of y'all are unbelievable. They will get better. Leavitt will get better. Leavitt will likely be our QB next year as well. Strap in, sweetheart.

Go look up Dart’s stats in 22 and then 23 and 24. He didn’t start off as a great passer either, especially vs the top teams in the SEC. It took him a year, but he improved a lot.

I’ll say it again, when he targets Green or Watkins he looks comfortable, the ball comes out on time and is accurate. When he’s going elsewhere he’s hesitant and unsure. It’s a trust and cohesion issue that should work itself out as we go along but this idea that “he can’t throw” is just false. All you have to do is look at the balls he throws to Green and Watkins.

Watching that, I can see flashes. A lot of runs, which we see here now. His injury was a Lisfranc in his foot, that seems like a non-issue.
He's got enough arm, and coupled with the mobility he can become a special player. He needs to get comfortable here, settle into the offense, figure out who to look for. Remember a couple things- he didn't throw in the spring, he's still learning everyone. And keep in mind Daniels came over expecting to throw to Boutte, that didn't work out. When he got comfortable with Nabers and Thomas the following year he won the Heisman. It took time for him to settle in, too.
People are just impatient, they think if you spend money it should be instant. It doesn't work that way.

Something also worth noting is with Wright out for the season, everyone in the WR room is also in year one of this offense (with the exception of W Watkins).

The bottom line is, through three games Leavitt has not been very good. Can he get better? Sure. Will he get better? No one knows. Not me, not you, not the experts, and really not Kiffin. We don’t know.

I’m not giving up on him yet. I feel that he developed a lot of bad habits at ASU chasing big plays that he was able to get away with against less talented defenses. If he can settle down and just look for the easy stuff to get in rhythm his completion percentage will jump. His main problems right now are not setting his feet to throw and missing reads due to getting tunnel vision.

Leavitt is just another representation of why I don't like run first QBs. They rely heavily on their wheels and don't wait for the routes to develop.
Give me a passer who can scramble and I just don't think Leavitt will ever be patient enough to be the passer part of that.

I think it’s clear his passing ability can be coached up. Probably not to the extent where this year we win the SEC but I can see him continuing to improve so next year he has a really good year.
