Well, the LSU softball program has been looted. It's bankrupt and Beth Torina is the corporate president.
The only way to wright this ship is to win. It's the only way to get fans to donate to fund the NIL. Beth has her problems but the worst is not substituting effectively.

Remember NCAA hard lines in the sand? Remember the 0 tolerance?
Remember the fines and investigations?
Remember Gus Piazza?
Remember the Gestapo tactics?
Remember the scholarship denials? The W/L records erased? The ineligible post season penalty?
Yep, we asked for all this
Let them transfer, eliminate the sitting out of eligibility, pay them.
Now, let them gamble. What does it matter now? What's the difference? All this talk about college sports is dead.... NOW? It died years ago with the portal and NIL.
Let's not be hypocritical or pearl clutching or astounded. College sports is home to sleazy donors, corrupt ADs, non-devoted athletes, and rabid fans. And we're all out here pretending that allowing them to gamble now is going to destroy us.

I'm sure Beth is a great person and a great mom but having been around travel ball in South Louisiana I've seen amateur coaches that would bring as much knowledge and more intensity and will to win than Beth. I watched coaches change. Nikki gave birth as a coach and Les and Kathy were so heavily involved in their children's athletics as young ones I get it. A women who gives birth during her professional career scrambles her priorities. Motherhood should always come first. But a college athletics program shouldnt have to suffer because of it.
Many of us are softball fans and long for the program to be elite.
Most are not fans of softball and don't really care.
The fact is that this woman is overpaid.
And regardless of any amount of salary, the HC must have a burning desire to win. She doesn't.
So, the program is left with yet another overpaid apathetic coach employed under a mismanaged contract from SW.
Although she is the all time winningest LSU softball coach the record is deceiving taking into account the powder puffs she has beaten.
Her conf WP barely breaks .500
Her last WCWS appearance was 2017.
The program is stale. The teams lack chemistry and personality and now NIL and the portal are also in play.
I'm not sure why a girl would want to come play here.

Torina has always been and will always remain apathetic as a coach.
Lots of LSU Tigers got shoved and bullied while TM was here.

What hurt nuss more than any cyst was the image of him on the bench, a towel draped over his head and tears, the eyeblack, the behavior after a rare TD. It showed more immaturity than mettle. That said his QB IQ appears to be high. Personally, I believe he is going to develop into a rockstar.
