I'm glad to see that others are complaining about this stuff too. Last night was the first game I've attended in person in a long time and I was legitimately stunned at how bad the overall stadium experience was. The crowd was still loud as ever at key moments, but overall it was very chaotic and disorganized. I had heard people on here complaining about the piped in music for years, but I never realized just how bad it was until I heard it in person. Maybe it's just me, but it also seemed like the fans didn't care as much about the band marching out on the field or the singing of the alma mater. And as many have already pointed out, not hearing Dan Borne's voice felt really off. Overall it just felt like a pale imitation of what Death Valley used to be.

OTHER Schools, Teams, Stadiums need to introduce DJ's, Loud Sound Systems, Music, etc to fill the gap, add noise + excitement to their stadium environment/atmosphere!!!

As a PA announcer at a large Texas High School, it takes a lot to coordinate the moving pieces. Last minute changes, sponsorship lists, teams coming on field early/late…
I agree last night was not good.
Seems like our band and PA spotters are new. And a lot of focus on piped in music to drown out profanity.
It is killing some of the atmosphere.

What was really bad was the ticket scanners weren’t working properly. It took 4 swipes for mine after waiting 40 minutes to get to the scanner. I entered at gate 10. This caused long lines to get in at our gates.

And they were playing something on the video board while the band was performing at halftime. And no one had the sense to cut it off.

New PA announcer sucks. He sounds like the Ole Miss announcer or WWE. It is too loud and the DJ music sucks. It could be played but about 100 decibels lower. It is a football stadium not dance club. I also think they need to cut it off completely when our team breaks the huddle.

That entire gate 8-10 operation to get into the East Upper is absurd. It took well over 45 minutes yesterday to get into the stadium with the scanners not working.
For the Clemson game, the same shite went on at this gate except it was storming and that side floods so we were standing in ankle deep water.

I'm 62 and been going to Tiger Stadium since Cholly Mac and the Baby Bengals. I'm a South Stadium Club member. I concede, finally this game format to the younger generation. I don't care for this modern game experience. It is loud, obnoxious and over stimulating. I don't understand how the coaches and officials can tolerate an arena with moments of darkness and never ending heavy metal music blaring between every down and time out. I had a great run and great memories of sweat, exhaustion, breathing heavy wet air and sneaking bourbon in. But I told my wife last night I'm done. These formats aren't for me. I'll keep my tiks for business reasons but won't be attending any more games.

It’s a PA announcer gig for college. It’s basically a volunteer gig. There is no “qualifications”
