My favorite in all of this is Virginia trotted out an OL this weekend of nothing but 24-26yr olds and they’re trying to kick LSU out of the SEC for not breaking a rule.

Can’t make this shite up.

The rules...

My point is the rules aren’t clear so this all will get settled in a courtroom because the NCAA and SEC are reactive instead of proactive.
He might as well make some money off you dumb fricks.

Not according the the SEC.

Can you read? The basketball player list is even worse.

3) the Big 10 isn’t going to accept a school that was kicked out of its old conference for using lawfare to prevent the conference from enforcing its rules that it just made up.

Fixed it.

Kiffin has the chance to do something Saban never did at Bama

Saban never got Bama kicked out of the SEC.

Imagine being so much of a bitch you want to throw out a founding member of the conference for NOT BREAKING ANY RULES.

What a time to be alive.

You clearly struggle with "rocket science". We can play what if all day. The fact remains. One signed a contract. The other didn't. If you think those are the same then you are simply stupid.

Which is what the lawyers will fight about.

The IRS does not consider per diem as income.

Tell it to the judge.
quote:

I do see they get a per diem rate of 130-200 dollars a day. Unfortunately for your point, neither the SEC or the NFL considers that a professional contract.

And guess what? The non-guaranteed contract signed by an undrafted free agent is contingent upon them making the roster. Once they're waived that contract goes poof.

Let us know when big 12 rant starts then. It’ll be fun to drop by and say hi

frick that. I'm ready to go 9-0 in the Pac-12 every year.
Good. We can shut this place down and y'all can go back to your own shitty boards. Chicken will have no reason to keep this place open.

quote:

Would you care to link your source for me? When i google it, it says in big bold letters that he received 0 dollars from NFL teams.

I'm tellin you. Every invited tryout player that participates in an NFL minicamp gets a daily per diem plus expenses. Contract or no contract. No one walks on a field for free.
quote:

Word you are looking for is "paid".

Every human being that goes through an NFL camp in any capacity is paid a daily per diem plus expenses.
quote:

Signing a pro contract is not the same as never signing a pro contract. I'm not a fan of cole coming back but I'm also smart of enough to recognize it's not the same situation.

And I'm smart enough to know when lawyers are involved, words and timing matters.
quote:

Dude you guys actually listen to yourselves? And then you wonder why all of college football hates you and wants you to fail spectacularly.

I'm almost starting to hope Ole Miss beats LSU in a few weeks for your sake. You're not go to be able to handle a loss to Kiffin. Holy Christ.
quote:

Cole never signed a contract. This isn't rocket science for most of us.

There was never a rule saying you couldn't come back until LSU tried to bring 2 guys back.
quote:

If you signed a contract you can't come back

By the time that was a rule, the guys were officially waived and their contracts were null and void with no money exchanging hands. How do you punish a school for doing something that wasn't against the rule when they were doing it?
Excluding LSU? Have fun with the civil suits.
quote:

Ain't nuttin gonna happen beside a lot of talk. But, it would be funny as hell, if SEC schools refused to play LSU and Ole Miss. Maybe the could play each other 5 or 6 times.

An undefeated SEC year with no risk for injury? Oh, please don't threaten us, daddy.
LSU is not getting expelled. Jesus Christ.
quote:

I got downvoted to infinity and called every insult LSU fans here could thing of for posting that backroom conversations had already been had by SEC chancellors and ADs about boycotting LSU this season and possibly expelling them from the conference.

It's not any less absurd today.
