Last night was awful for the PA announcer, DJ, Video Board, Replay and Marketing Team.

Ive been going to TS for 30 years. That was by far the worst, most unorganized stadium experience ever.
Both the opening videos (concrete and steel one/Goldeband intro) had to be cut off early because team ran out and band started.
PA announcer said wrong names for a few guys when starting lineup played. He waited too long and band was waiting for him to be introduced. He’s just awful in general.
Video board in south end zone went out.
They rushed the Lone Surviver off the field because they waited to announce the group with 30 seconds left in timeout. They rushed many intros.

That wasn’t an accident. The music was to drown out STTDB. With that said, it seemed off last night. Felt like the music played more into a play than it usually does. During a kickoff I’m pretty sure the ball was kicked with the music still going full blast more than once. I get trying to pump a crowd during a 3+ minute tv timeout. But don’t interfere with the game.

My dad commented that you just can’t hear the band anymore. That’s part of the pageantry of college football. Tiger band hardly plays anything more than a few quick tunes and the DJ drowns out the opposing band.

I dont go to any sporting events anymore because the artificial noise is just so loud and obnoxious. When will people realize its better with less of that

It’s because the students start STTDB to every song the band plays and when it starts the DJ is told to drown them out

We couldn’t even hear what was being said about the lone survivor. Only heard his name called and I was like why is he here. Missed everything else.
Halftime band was playing and there was a taf video.
I know I can’t do better but that is their job!!

I mean I get it. I really do. To an extent I agree with you.
As far as rushing the "lone survivor" off the field. They only have a certain short amount of time to squeeze everything theyre trying to accomplish in that break, in. I get it. I dont know why that bothers you.
As far as the Dj goes. You have to think man. Theyre trying to strike a balance. Theyre trying to keep everyone happy. The ocassional boomer music, the band lovers music, the party crowd music and the rap crowd music. Which the rap crowd is probaly the largest demographic in the stadium. Which also happens to includes the entire football team.
Those young football players listen to loud arse rap music. They probably "like" the band. But they don't want to hear that to get hyped up the entire game. They wanna hear what they listen to. Which is loud arse rap music.
Yes the DJ could do better though I agree. But its not as cut and dry as "scrap the DJ and piped in music and let the band play". That place would be dead
