re: Last night was awful for the PA announcer, DJ, Video Board, Replay and Marketing Team.

I love piped in music because our band is so inaudible. That stupid a&m band wouldn’t stfu last night. However, whoever was in charge last night was a fireable offense.
1st - SE board was dark and sadly where our seats are that is our go to board.
2nd - they were horribly out of sync. When the stupid a&m band kept playing the DJ could have turned the volume up more.
3rd - they kept playing random things and stopping and starting new things like a squirrel with ADHD. It was bad.
4th. - they screwed up player introductions and during halftime after that horrific a&m show our band goes out there and starts their horn blowing crap but we have a damn TAF commercial going on. WTH?
5th - they were rocking in the 3Q but then in the 4Q their song choice was shite give never heard of in my entire life.
And the DJ avoiding mainstream popular country music also makes me think they just try to play random shite and moving relevant to the situation. That makes me think the DJ knows nothing about football and he definitively was only good in the 3Q. Kudos to him for blasting Set It Off the whole song while that dumbass a&m band played their crap. Other than that he sucks and should be fired.

I hadn’t been to a game in some time. Other than winning the game, it wasn’t the best experience. The DJ music was obnoxious and overly loud. Felt like listening to a booming, rattling car next to you at the red light that you can’t wait to get away from. And playing that between every play and in timeouts was ridiculous. Really minimizes our band, the best in college football. Pretty sure there were plays that started while the DJ was still playing the music. Completely changes the atmosphere and fans aren’t even able to interact with team while that music is blaring as the plays start. Don’t know how the coaches and players could even communicate. I stayed until the end and enjoyed the win but they need to get this fixed, This is not the standard I remember of the best atmosphere in college football.

Damn. I forgot about that. We were all singing the anthem and the planes came on the screen. I kept looking around wondering where they were, then a 5-10 seconds after the anthem. Here they came.
I’m just guessing, but those looked liked some sort of old fighter planes, not the fighter jets that usually cruise over. I wonder if those fighter jets are able to speed up rapidly at a signal from us so they pass over at the right moment while those old planes just don’t have an extra gear?

They played a lot of 2000 and 2010 rap and hip hop for some reason.

Interesting side note. The pilot was Kaylee Hartung’s father. She was at the game as a spectator with her father

He really does sound like an NBA PA guy trying to hype up a crowd for no reason.
One thing that made Borne was so great was that he was straight and to the point 90% of the time, but knew when to get loud with the crowd. If we’d get a huge first down he would yell FIRST DOWN FOR THE TIGERS or after a huge touchdown he’d do the SCOOOOORES louder and longer.
McMakin seems to try to make it about him more than anything. Even the “IT’S Saturday Night and here come Your fightin tigers of LSU” was somewhat subtile. Now it’s “IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT AND HERE COME YOUR FIGHTIN TIGERS OF LSUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Or “chance of rain..,,never” is now CHANCE…OF…RAIN…NEVERRRRRR”
It’s all just silly and forced.
Agree with what everyone else has said about the in game stuff though. Timing was off the whole night. Everything they did was rushed and out of sync. It’s almost like somebody wasn’t paying attention to the clock the whole game was like oh shite we gotta do xyz even when they are 20 seconds late.

How does the dj thing work is it a real person or programmed? Sorry for my ignorance; though I enjoyed the game if is true ; the sound did effect hearing the band alot; and the change was just to damn loud. Imo

That was Kaylee's brother. Her father actually flew vintage WWII aircraft at airshows and was killed in a crash while flying an AT Texan. Long time ago when she was young. I think that was the same model that was in the flyover with her brother piloting.
