He's a legend at Bama and would have been a legend here

He's already a legend here
Nah, it's objectively true. I was downvoted every time I tried to defend Wade for years, now it's suddenly cool to side with him over Woody.
Up until like a week ago, everyone blamed Will Wade for the whole FBI debacle and said that Woodward was given no other option but to fire him. Now magically everyone on here loves Will Wade and blames Woodward for ruining the basketball program. Funny how that works....

Nah, tPear will have them in the Sweet 16 year one in all likelihood

The vast majority of people are too dumb to understand this concept. It's just a witch hunt at this point.
The "muh buyout" people are idiots who don't understand how modern college football works. These are the exact same people who will settle for nothing less than an established natty-winning coach, but somehow think those coaches will come coach for us with a worse contract than what their current school is offering them.

I wish Landry would do the same
Woodward got screwed, and anyone who can't see that is delusional. I don't worship the guy or anything, and I still to this day haven't forgiven him for what he did to the basketball program, but I still think he was a huge net positive for LSU. A few years from now the people gloating at the moment will be bitching about the new AD and will suddenly want Woodward back.
Do you people not realize that this is always how BK handled things? Notre Dame fans literally told us this straight up back when we first hired him. It's not some shocking new development that happened in the last few years
The most insane part of all this is all the people in our fanbase who want yet another "proven coach" who is obviously past their prime, like Gruden or Urban Meyer. Either one of those hires would probably play out like Belichick did for UNC.
I saw Les Miles at a movie theater in BR shortly after he got fired. A little kid ran up to him and was like "aren't you the coach of the LSU tigers?", and Les was like "Well, I used to be......."
Wasn't Underwood tweeting stuff like this too? I wouldn't put any stock into it until I see him suit up in purple and gold
Yeah, the two big names missing from that list are Golesh and Brohm, IMO
Posting in a historic thread for posterity's sake
All the non-LSU fans love Coach O because they know he would've never been successful again at LSU. No matter how bad CBK might be, it would've been way worse for us to stick with O. It's the same logic as to why all the people who hate Florida loved Billy Napier. You only hate coaches who you see as a threat, and those guys weren't gonna be a threat to anyone.
There's a reason why the guy is universally hated by pretty much all college football fans. It's not just completely baseless and arbitrary, despite what some of our fans will tell you
