I didn’t like Landry at first He isn’t even an LSU guy But he moved swiftly and got rid of Tate, Brian Kelly, Scott Woodward and McMahon at the speed of light. I am now putting his picture in my LSU room.

He deserves a lot of credit for how far he’s taken us. He also understands the pulse of the state populace because he’s a coonass

Those folks seem to be nuts. Let's not antagonize them.

If you have legal leverage, ESPN leverage, Government leverage.. and they are factually in the wrong...

You antagonize, let them lose control. Replace a couple of them. Then not only is a lesson learned, but you have less enemies in the room when their replacements arrive.

The key is to not "purposely" antagonize them. Landry is the Louisiana Governor. It's not illegal for him to be involved, especially when 15 other schools are colluding against the beating heart of his economy, which is LSU football.

LSU has been surrounded and slowly suffocated by its enemies, who have now revealed themselves thinking LSU was drawing it's last breath.

And don't forget, the more the SEC makes this about "ok well we are really mad about your political and self governing situation" .. the more they are going to have to answer the question:

Did you violate a court order and cause immense damage on two student athletes just to get at the institution they wanted to attend?

It never was presented to the court in the Big XII vs Texas Tech case

the law degree i have developed over the last few days has told me that both situations are very different.

1. Paxton sent a letter to the Big 12, which kicked off the whole suit from the big 12. LSU has done anything in the courts what so ever, at worst we advised some players to lawyer up.

2. Gambling isn't legal in texas, against the tech student code of conduct and Paxton himself has a history of anti-sports betting/gambling

3. Our case is a labor issue at it core. An issue that NCAA and now the SEC does not want to confront infront of a judge no matter the venue

In my mind point 3 is why the other presidents and Sankey have freaked out. This case the potential to stop the music for them and finally deal with the fact that college players are in fact professional atheletes. Right now Sankey and the Big 10 are trying to make the 24 team playoffs without consulting players that are putting their bodies on the line. The last thing they want is to open the door to revenue sharing

Stanley is now a blood enemy of LSU. He needs to go and whatever promotes pressure on Sankey is good. Kiffin and the Team will hold up their end regardless.

The SEC is meeting, and one thing they might discuss is whether to penalize LSU.

Did you read the SEC's Amended Complaint? Did you read Sankey's Affidavit?

Landry pisses them off. They think he is running LSU without regard to the LSU President. Since they are college Presidents, they don't like that.

So it makes ZERO sense for Landry to open his mouth today. He can talk tomorrow. He can talk tonight. Hell, he can talk later today.

But since things have deescalated, there is no reason for Landry to say a fricking word today.

And as I said in my original post, I don't want LSU to shut up. The SEC apparently wants to hear more from Rousse and Ausberry. They can defend LSU as much as they want.

But Landry should shut the frick up today.

He can say whatever he wants. He's earned it. If it weren't for him saying and doing stuff we wouldn't have kissing right now.

No it isn't. He also gambled underage at his two prior schools. He also sent money to a proxy across state lines while he was in Texas.

That's a whole slew of illegal stuff, bub.

Jeff needs to read the room here. Making comments on the day when this all is being decided is ludicrous.

Just move on, my word.

If he wouldn’t have spoken up, you’d still have the clown show BK still coaching this team!!

For whatever reason, Landry gets under the skin of the SEC people.

That reason is he’s a republican and they can’t control him or the LSU leadership anymore. We already see improvement in athletics and academics. Let the man cook.

If it weren’t for Landry….We’d still have Tate, Woody, McMahon and likely BK still employed by LSU.

Do you pussies asking Landry to stand down really prefer our weak arse leadership and style of the past?

This is NOT the time for Landry to be talking about the SEC.

As long has he doesn’t threaten action like Texas AG did with B12/Sorsby, it’s largely irrelevant.
