If LSU loses to Bama, is the season a huge letdown even at 11-1?

If Bama beats LSU and LSU doesn't get into the playoffs, I think this season would feel like a disappointment despite finishing 11-1 and in the top 5 even with the offensive success and a Heisman candidate because we wouldn't have won the SEC or played for a title. Thats crazy to think we'd be disappointed but many people would.
All season long its felt like this is LSU's year but given our past against Bama, its hard to believe we are going to beat them. Will people still be happy with 11-1? Is it playoffs or bust?

11-1 and a refreshing rebirth of LSU's offense and a Heisman candidate at QB wouldn't be a let down.
Sure, I'd love to beat Bama, but I'm not going to bitch about 11-1 if we are highly competitive in that game.

Nope. As long as the loser of this game looks competitive, if that is their only loss they will make it to the playoff

I would be thrilled with 11-1. Frankly 11-1 probably means a playoff spot as well the way the season is shaping up.

If LSU loses to Bama and win out, they'll likely still be in the playoffs and have a chance to play Bama in the NC Title game

I want 12-0 but 11-1 is a damn fine excellent season and might still put us in the playoff
You go 11-1 consistently and you will consistently be in the title hunt which is all a fan can ask for
The only way this season turns in to a “disappointment” at this point is with 2+ regular season losses

If we go 11-1 and miss the playoff, I'll be disappointed, but it would still be a great season.
The only way I'll be let down is if we lose to anyone not named Bama or get blown out by Bama.
