Since Arizona State backed up our series. Why not just get Tulane in there? I know it’s no Power 5 but AAC is really not that bad of a conference. I don’t know of any big name power 5 teams that would be able to get a home and Home with us for 2021-2022

Only way this would work would be a 2 for 1 or a home and dome where the dome is considered neutral site.

It’ll never happen, LSU would lose too much money giving up a home date and why would we want to play them every year anyway.

Welp, Tulane used to be a SEC power.

We should have the 21 game in Baton Rouge, and play the return "road" game in the New Orleans Superdome (in prime time, not at 11 am as in 2007).

Just appease Tulane and play one game in the stadium on their campus

Not enough Money for LSU-- The same issue that killed the deal in the first place. Tulane wanted too much of the overall pie as compared to the alternatives for LSU. LSU brought all the pie and Tulane wanted too much !!

Nah. I do think LSU should play them at least once every 5 years, but the game should be in Tiger Stadium or the Superdome.

Playing at Tulane would do nothing for us, this is pure stupidity. Hey lets get a home and home with Lafayette and Monroe while were at it.

Damn this was a stupid suggestion.

No real benefit for LSU to play Tulane. That "rivalry" lost most of its luster when Tulane left the SEC in the 60s.

Honestly even before that. Since 1948, LSU is 46-4-2 against Tulane, with 3 of those 4 wins coming from 1979-1982. It's been a one sided "rivalry" since the very infancy of the SEC.

I don't know the specific terms of the Rice deal, but we were able work a home-and-home with them between Tiger Stadium and NRG, so I'm not sure why something couldn't be hammered out with Tulane.

Also, I thought one of the agreements from the termination of the last deal was a future game in New Orleans.

I don't see how there is any material benefit to LSU to schedule Tulane. Can somebody make an argument that Tulane would benefit LSU more than other, available options?

It would def be better if we still played Tulane, even if a home-and-home.

That's stupid. If they aren't gonna go power 5, they should try to do an armed forces team. I think that would be cool. Still, I would prefer a home and home against a power 5.. maybe Texas Tech or TCU would be cool

Quick glance at a few schedules, and we could try to get a H&H with Iowa or Minnesota. Not exactly A-lister's, but they both appear to have openings.

Two in Baton Rouge, one in Superdome. I'd rather play Tulane than some in state 1-AA goober.
