les miles won a football national championship. his hiring @ Kansas - cost him his job, the AD that hired him , the university president job @ another university.
so our new baseball coach is going to put his new
job on the line, along with our , AD , new university president, our new BOS, etc, etc, etc.

always gets after umps - did not like him chewing his pitcher on the mount & then taking him out! take him out & get after him in dugout or the next day in private!
do not like him calling the pitchers. that is for the pitching coach!

Baseball in the state was dominated by LSUNO or UNO until Bertman showed up. Twice in his era we were not the #1 seed in a regional - once to Tulane & they won the super to go to the CWS & once when ULL was the #1 seed in the Baton Rouge regional. We won the regional & went to Omaha.
I think ULL also when to Omaha, when we did not!

also that is why vandy is getting top players - they look for the player that can meet their requirements to get full tuition - about $75,000 a year
this is the way LSU has remained a top program over the years

could not pitch hit for our catcher - we would have had to use #4 catcher again as we had two hurt!
with a 8 run lead - he was trying pitchers!
