LSU would NEVER play a game in that crappy little high school stadium.

Crappy? Have you been there? That stadium is very nice, and perfect size for their student body.

because the local economy benefits more from a game against a team that isn't an hour away.

Yeah, I'm sure those travelling herds of Idaho, Towson and Eastern Michigan fans really stimulated the local economy.

The Tulane student section is the top endzone in that picture.

We did it over a decade ago. LSU negotiated control of majority of the tickets but even then the stadium wasn't close to a sell out. The game in New Orleans ended up being at 11am

Because Tulane is undeserving of a home game against a power 5 school.

we could try to get a H&H with Iowa or Minnesota
Minnesota would mean..........P.J. Fleck!

Great opportunity for a live audition with Joe Alleva.

And have you seen P.J.'s wife?

Yeah, the game would need to be in either late afternoon or prime time to make it worthwhile.

And LSU would need a nice payday guarantee.

Tulane has said that whenever we play (according to my bro-in-law) that LSU could keep 100% of the gate from the game and the game still wouldn’t happen.

Definitely fake news. No way in hell Tulane would give up all the gate. I believe your brother-in-law is engaging in hyperbole.

Home-home reserved for Power 5.

Neutral sites are reserved for Power 5.

Since 2008 the only non SEC Power 5 schools to come to Tiger Stadium are:

West Virginia
Washington
Syracuse

I have my fingers crossed for ucla and Texas.

Georgia Tech just came there a few years back. They have Wake Forest coming next season and Oklahoma coming in 2020. If Oklahoma can come to their “high school” stadium then so can LSU

Their OOC Home slate is better than ours regularly. Or just as good. That’s sad

As opposed to the “herds” of Tulane fans?

I’d rather us schedule other Louisiana state universities than Tulane (which we do). Tulane doesn’t exactly need LSU’s help. Not sure why so many people care about playing them.

Think it should be a 2-1-1 deal.
Tiger stadium, Dome 75-25 split, Tiger stadium, home for Tulane. Do it over an 8 year period so it doesn’t restrict our scheduling of other programs.

If y’all think we’re too good to play Tulane, you’re stupid. We’re not too good to play anyone. We are a fricking 9-4 program. Not the damn national champs. This isn’t 2007 anymore.

Where did you get that argument from my post? Quite the straw man you’re building

Not just you, there’s multiple posts in this thread that are basically saying we’re LSU we’re not playing on the road at Tulane. So entitled sounding.

Can you just go ahead and admit you're really a Tulane fan? If we're going to have an honest conversation, you can at least be honest about your intentions.

Not a single person has said that. The issue is the home and home. We're not going to play an away game against Tulane. Sorry, that's just the reality of the situation.
