My first game was the independence bowl against a young Nick Saben led Michigan State team.

Oregon State 2004 was mine. I was 14 years old and I’ve been hooked ever since.

In utero for LSU - Ole miss Halloween night1959. Remember it just like it was yesterday. Wore my birthday suit for Halloween.
First post birth game was against 1968 Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium. Dam Archie led Ole Miss in a comeback to beat us 27-24 I think.

I hate Ole Miss and almost went to school there. I had a love hate relationship with Archie ( Ole Miss hate) and( Saints love).

In the stadium in utero. Don’t remember my “first” game.
First game I actually remember was Ohio State 1987.

The first game I can remember was against Alabama at Leagion Stadium in Birmingham with the Bear coaching. We had Charlie Mac. We only crossed the 50 yard line twice. One Bama fan looked at me and said, “ at least our Golden Girls were better looking than the bama girls”. I think I was in Jr High in Montgomery, Al. That was the first year we got bussed to Georgia Washington Jr. High in Mount Megs ( 8 to 12 mile bus ride from our house). Yep, I’m old too ! ??

That was indeed one of many thrillers for a season lid lifter. I can remember some of the victory in the rain over Oregon State, I think.

But as far as the first LSU game I attended, it was a heartbreaking loss in which the Aggies (in those days) won a rare victory over the Tigers, on that long pass in the final 30 seconds or minute of the game.

The second game was much better and to me, one of the classics. A Saturday afternoon game--LSU 21, Auburn 20. The blocked extra point secured victory, but there were many other exciting plays. There was the halfback pass for a touchdown and the thrill of seeing the strong Tiger defense making many big plays to edge Auburn and its outstanding QB, Pat Sullivan.
