So...did they know something when they raised prices for 2026?

2024: The portal got us 6 defensive starters & 2 or 3 pretty good back-ups. On the offensive side, was it players or coaching? I vote we had a coaching up problem.
Can't blame AT for that.

Des, if AT was in charge of the portal evaluation, he got us 6 starters & 2 or 3 backups on a pretty good defense.
With the exception of Moore at center, whose PFF grades were usually good, the question on the offense was talent or coaching. With the worse offense I have seen - I go back to Taylor & Cannon - I lean to these guys not being coached up.
I think Thomas has a place in Baton Rouge.

Boat: Don't know much about Thomas, but I think he was working on the portal. Half of a pretty good defense were portal guys who were coached up. On the other side of the ball, only Moore constantly graded out pretty well on PFF. My question was it portal selection or coaching on the offensive?
re: If Kiffin comes, just don't be mad when he gives LSU the middle finger and moves on!

Shine, according to your thoughts, as he raises trophies, we should all say "yea, but...". I will worry about that when it happens. Just like Saban, we will wish him luck & look forward to the next guy & the next trophy.
Why bother...it's in the SEC by-laws that Alabama can't miss the CFP two years in a row - it could have cost these officials their jobs!
My favorite was in the late 3d, early 4th when we were driving & they threw a flag after the ball was snapped. You could see them counting red jersey's. Then one guy jogs off the field & after a quick conference, they called a procedure on LSU.
Anybody surprised?

...what time is it now?

Forget about the effect Kelly's fork tongue has on us.
What effect does it have on the team...a lying coach playing a hurt kid & not giving another even a shot...and seeing their path to the CFP go down the drain.
And this in the age of the portal, when most of these kids are rightfully looking out for number 1 vs. playing for Dear Ole LSU!

re: Did Kelly have a post game presser?

Yes. Let me bring you up to date re what he said: "Bla, Bla, Bla"
No.
The GOAT did in mid game with an injured QB & won a national champ.
Kelly, who is smarter than all of us combined (& richer) will not.
Of course it is not his fault & he will change staff's at the end of the season...again. It buys him more time.
By the way, for those of you who did not view his post game press conference in Oxford, let me fill you in: "Bla, Bla, Bla". A repeat of his monday conferences, his Paul F's shows, his Thursday night shows & his forthcoming USCe post gamer.

No.
B, the '72 game I too won't forget. We were leaving South stadium on the southeast landing...thought the game was over, when someone told us we still had one more play. Was looking down on the corner of the end zone right in front of us.
As a freshman in '63, we still talk about the Ole Miss riots & panty raids...but that is another story.

"Maybe, it matches up with our P4 NC games for next 4 years"
Good catch Jim. Guess we will find out Tuesday.
Thanks

4 SEC Home games in '26

Reading the Chris Low story w/comments from Tenn AD getting 5 SEC home games because they play their P4 game away, I would guess that we ge 4 home games since we play Clemson in BR.
jc:
As an old retired NOLA guy with no honey do list, I read the greenie's web site for grins. These are run by old timers like me, those that are in some levels of the "know". They see the coming of the super conferences & know that they are probably on the outside looking in, with future home & homes with ULaLa, Southerns Miss & South Alabama.
To get a home & home with LSU with the hopes of making headlines, they would pay us to play them. 3 to 1 or even 4 to 1 is a given. They know that we would never play in that 25K band box...hell we would have to leave half the team home just to get into the visitors locker room (see Georgia Tech in the first game played there), to say nothing of just bring just the drum line instead of TGBFTL!
No...3 in BR w/1 in the Dome isn't a problem for Verge.

"LSU has nothing to gain by playing Tulane every year."
Other than winning the game 11 out of 10 times you mean?
Look, its simple for me. Play Toolame in Tiger Stadium 3 out of 4 years with the fourth in the Dome or freeze our arse off in Norman every other year! Been there, done that. No thanks.
And Toolame thinks they can get into a P4 if they up grade their schedule. They will go for 3 to 1 in a heart beat...read their websites...they don't like it - they think they are still in the 1950's...but they will accept it.

I thought it looked good on TV, but couldn't decide if it was the gold shirts or the the gold beer in the cups...
