If they built more suite's, could they sell them & use that additional $ to improve sideline & bleacher seats?

re: 1908 national championship

Do you think we are Ole Miss?
Forget 1908...let's work on 2026.
OP: Tongue in cheek reply after reading you title: Sentence should have stopped after "greatest"
Has anyone seen anything on the early enrolled high school kids & which transfers will be on hand for spring practice? I assume most of the portal guys are already enrolled.
OP: I think we blew pass the % of $20M House $ a long time ago. Football, WBB & Jay have their dedicated House + "new" $ - they have earned it. MBB has to do the same w/new $.
Two things: 1. They rush the punter 80-90% of the times. 2. The odds of a blocked punt is probably better than a punt return for a TD.
Two observations:
1. I don't question a HOF coach.
2 This is the rant: we begin the season with the best team, best coach, best uniforms, best band, etc. After one lost, fire everybody, burn down the PMAC & plant surgar cane.
See me after the season.
Quick count shows about 44 +/- still on roster. Add the 14 high school kids gets us to 58/59 w/the portal still open. If the final roster is somewhere between 85 to 105, u do the math.

If we have a chance at getting him & with the NCAA draging their feet on his case, does this win give us a few more weeks to wait the NCAA out before he can get into the portal?
1969 - stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. Driving up to top of mountain with date to listen to LSU game on WWL. We won the game...wish I could remember the girl's name.

My problem with present day broadcasts is I don't need talking heads fake excitment when we gain 2 yards on the fifth screen play of the drive or showing kids without shirts in the stands. Ray Scott must me rolling over in his grave. I now watch the game with the sound muted.

New OL coach worked for Nick at Alabama. Nick & Lane talk. If Nick was not pleased with him at Alabama, do you think he would recommend him?
Norte Dame in 1978. Ran into a Holy Cross Brother who taught me in high school. Stadium looked like City Park stadium from the outside before they expanded it. Next day we went to a Cubs game & it seemed like everyone was wearing an LSU shirt.
LSU is a national brand...Alabama, Penn St, Texas, USC are also national brands. WE don't need gimicy outfits to draw attention to us!
Wear the damn traditional uniform!
Ole Miss. It took me until half way thru the second quarter just reading how many National & SEC champ's they claim on the walls of the stadium!

BOS & ticket price.

So...did they know something when they raised prices for 2026?

re: Austin Thomas gone is huge

2024: The portal got us 6 defensive starters & 2 or 3 pretty good back-ups. On the offensive side, was it players or coaching? I vote we had a coaching up problem.
Can't blame AT for that.

re: So...about the OL coach position

Des, if AT was in charge of the portal evaluation, he got us 6 starters & 2 or 3 backups on a pretty good defense.
With the exception of Moore at center, whose PFF grades were usually good, the question on the offense was talent or coaching. With the worse offense I have seen - I go back to Taylor & Cannon - I lean to these guys not being coached up.
I think Thomas has a place in Baton Rouge.

re: So Austin Thomas Out?

Boat: Don't know much about Thomas, but I think he was working on the portal. Half of a pretty good defense were portal guys who were coached up. On the other side of the ball, only Moore constantly graded out pretty well on PFF. My question was it portal selection or coaching on the offensive?
Shine, according to your thoughts, as he raises trophies, we should all say "yea, but...". I will worry about that when it happens. Just like Saban, we will wish him luck & look forward to the next guy & the next trophy.
Why bother...it's in the SEC by-laws that Alabama can't miss the CFP two years in a row - it could have cost these officials their jobs!

My favorite was in the late 3d, early 4th when we were driving & they threw a flag after the ball was snapped. You could see them counting red jersey's. Then one guy jogs off the field & after a quick conference, they called a procedure on LSU.

Anybody surprised?
