It seemed like every game that season was a close call for LSU. And the team had scads of talent on offense, but even though they moved the ball at will between the 20's they would bog down and ask Doug Moreau to bail em out with a FG. Which he complied, but that Miss St game he missed TWO attempts. I think he was tired out from running pass routes

Miami won 44-3. Sat second row from the top of the one deck. It rained underneath us at one point.

A few lucky plays for Miami, a few bad calls don't happen, and we win that game.

Steve Walsh.....the pouring rain

Way to Geaux, Verge, big play, bebe

That was a bad one....and could have easily been my first game, instead it was 1990 UGA

Really enjoying reading all of these, bring back some memories

That 1995 Independence Bowl was one of the funnest games I ever saw. It's hard for me the ever say this, but Shreveport was the place to be that night-- State Fair Stadium was rocking, and even though the Tigers just finished on the cusp of the Top 25 that season, LSU football was back! Dinardo brought back the magic-- laissez les bon temps rouler!

Enough to sicken even the least squeamish. LSU football did nothing right that night, and that game foreshadowed the ineptitude of LSU football for the next six seasons.

It's hard to believe the Tigers had already wrapped up the SEC championship before the Miami game, but it's true!

Georgia Tech in 1963. The quarterback was Billy Lothridge. He was the Heisman runner up to Roger Staubach that year. LSU's quarterbacks were Pat Screen and Billy Ezell. LSU won 7-6.

Guess I'm really an old timer... my first game in Tiger Stadium was in 1955...Tigers lost to Georgia Tech and Bobby Dodd that night, 7-0... I still remember sitting in the upper deck south end of the stadium and a nip and tuck game of running the football on both sides, with it being a defensive struggle all game

LSU bs Wyoming 1978. Hokie Gajsn returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. We were in the end zone that he ran into. There was just a wall of players in the center of the field when it just opened up and Hokie ran through it.
Still remember walking into the stadium. Couldn’t believe how big it was.
