2019 LSU vs Texas 8&4 was my first game. The Burreaux game.

That was the year before I was born. I wish I could go back and experience a game day of that era. Campus and the stadium was a whole lot different back then!
I was 4 back then but distinctly remember that men wore nice clothes and some suits, ladies wore dresses, and not nearly the drunken crowds of today. Different world growing up in the 60's, and in many ways much better than today.

1993 Arkansas game, it got cold after half, LSU got blown out
That game is always my benchmark for how for the program has come. LSU was 5-5 going into that game riding a 3 game winning streak that included the huge upset @ Alabama. A win would have sent LSU to the Carquest Bowl...and fans were jacked about that possibility! Now, a coach would be fired for reaching the equivalent of the Carquest Bowl.
Like you said, it was a cold afternoon that only got colder as the day went on...and Arkansas's lead kept growing.

Mid to late 90s vs. Ole Miss. I don't remember the year or who won, looking at the schedule it makes sense that it would have been the 1997 game.
All I remember it was cold and my grandfather brought paper bags for us to put our feet in to block the wind. The number of times I remember hearing their band play Dixie makes me think that we probably lost that game, which reinforces 1997.

October 24, 1964: A defensive battle that ended in a 3-3 tie in Baton Rouge against the Vols we missed a couple of field goals and they held us inside the 10 a few times and it was a day game

1974 LSU Tulane
LSU adopted the spiltback veer that year with Carl Otis Trimble running it.
It was a great day, went fishing the th morning and stacked the reds up (no limit back then). Got home, my fishing buddies mom called and told my mom she got tickets for us. We cleaned up drove to BR and went to the game!

The 1997 Ole Miss game was the very next game after LSU upset #1 Florida. It was a JP 11:30 game. It definitely wasn't cold. But it was a total let down after the high of beating Florida. IMO, if the upset of Florida was the peak of the Dinardo era that Ole Miss loss was the beginning of the decline.
I sat in the east sideline section at the game. I'll always remember Ole Miss scoring late in the 4th to essentially seal the game. One of their cheerleaders was running down the sideline behind the OM bench with a big Ole Miss flag. That was the breaking point for some baw and he chucked a full (big) cup of coke from about 25 rows up at the cheerleader. His aim was perfect, but he came up short and hit an old lady with white cottontop hair seated in row 1 or 2 in the back of the head. Poor lady never saw it coming. Coke exploded everywhere. It looked like the Zapruder film. She got ejected forward out of her seat. Her middle aged son seated next to her was (understandably) PISSED! He was yelling into the crowd trying to find out who threw it, while the poor old lady was trying to get the coke out of her ears.

2003 Arkansas game. I was 12. They had a RB names Cobb that caught my eye. We pulled away in the second half to secure our spot in the SEC championship game.

My first was the replay game against Bama in 2000. Never looked back.

But we did and frankly I thought it was just fine. We all contributed 25 cents for the pig pot. The winner had to be marching with ugliest coed. Truedat

USC at LSU September 29, 1979! I still have the ticket stub (the old fashion one) somewhere in storage. What a freaking game that was. .

remember walking through the portal of the southeast upper section and seeing Tiger Stadium, at night, under the lights and a sea of the most beautiful green ever. It’s never left me.
One of my favorite things to do is take a young person to their first game. The minute you walk out of that portal, they are always in awe….you know they will remember that for the rest of their lives.

My first home game was against Western Carolina in 2000…Nick Sabans first game as coach. I went to LSU to learn and was not a college football fan before that game. Well, I haven’t missed many games since then.
