Grew up competing in tennis across the world. Played game very similar to pickle ball back in the late 60's
respectfully, Boomers do not condone this anti-NASA bias. They watched the Apollo missions with great wonderment. Vast majority of Boomers know man walked on the moon.
Sure forgiveness is correct. But consequences are important and inevitable.
40 year career as a physician and dealt with many critically ill patients. Death: allways a poignant, somber moment but often it is the natural order of things. I've seen many where it was their time to go and they welcomed it while being surrounded by family and loved ones. Death brought peace to all involved.
Seen plenty as well where it was unexpected and devastating to the families and the health care team.

A Time for Everything
"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,..."

"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" derived from Genesis.

As a young teenager, I had a Plane ticket on Eastern Airlines Flight 66 to fly from New Orleans to New York City in order to play the Easter Bowl Tennis Tournament in March 1975. At relatively the last minute I decided to stay home with family for Easter and cancelled the flight which was in 2 days. The Eastern Airlines flight 66 crashed and 113 people on board the plane died. There were a few survivors. That was a different type of near death experience.

re: Colonoscopies. Yes or no?

Not only can colonoscopy catch cancer early, it can prevent it by removing precancerous polyps. Nothing is 100% in medicine but this is a cancer that can be prevented. Alternative screening methods are available such as stool tests for occult blood or DNA changes but none of these are as accurate as colonoscopy and none of these can remove polyps. Also stool DNA tests are not cheap even though they are not invasive. Colonoscopy is invasive and does have risk. Risk is low in most cases especially if done by a gastroenterologist with experience.

I humbly ask you change crybabies to pussies. Thanks. Much appreciated.
Moonshot,

I saw Skip with a clip board many times. Specifically at CWS practices in Omaha. Now you know!
He cheated and should have been thrown to the curb. He screwed LSU plain and simple. At least he is owning up to his arrogance and cheating ways now. He lost his integrity and hopefully he is going to play by the rules now. Wins are not wins if they come by cheating. That goes for all sports at all levels.
He had plenty of opportunity to own up when he was still at LSU. He was a cheater. Play by the rules. Integrity can't be taken away from you unless you give it away.
Generation X gonna get large amount of wealth as us Boomers pass on

Surgeons should be given a lot of credit for how hard they work. When I felt sorry for myself for the insane amount of call I had to do and usually in the mid of the night, I could always look at one of my surgical colleagues and think, " at least I have better than that ". to surgeons!
I loved LSU's air of invincibility when getting off the bus in Omaha in the 90's. All they did was walk off the bus and intimidated opposing players and fans.
