Idk if it’s worth it, but that seems like a gross example of making up a rule on the fly. You can’t just guess time like that.

These games matter. There has to be an official ruling on something like that. This isn’t some kind of exhibition. LSU should fight tooth and nail to get this corrected.

A protest is a real thing when there’s a question as to whether, say, a rule is just made up which seems to have happened here. Could get it declared a no contest.

Because it could be significant if LSU is on the bubble for the tournament.

If we do end up being on the bubble this loss will be a huge asterik and point of contention.. so could play in our favor (or at least not penalize us too much)

My guess is the game gets voided altogether ?

No precedent or reason, just my gut.

There is no governing body to make a determination like there would be in a conference game. The NCAA does not have authority over this game.

Either it’s an exhibition or it’s not.

Just curious, when is the last time a college has filed a protest in sports over anything? And I’m not flaming - I’m legit wondering.

Jay Johnson did it last year. I believe it was the play where they said Morgan blocked the plate by just standing in his normal position, but since we won it was withdrawn.

Same thing with Houston in the Supers when the ball got stuck under the fence.

nah, they would count it as a loss, same as any other loss on the record.

It could have been a solid win to have on the resume.

I just checked ESPN, it simply says the K State player hit the winning jumper with 5 seconds left, nothing about the controversy at the end. Not mentioned at all. Nobody watched this game, due to the shitty service.
In other words, it's a loss, no asterisk at all.
