re: College Sports Commission investigating LSU for NIL violations

If LSU does anything more than tell the CSC to suck their dicks then they are cooperating too much
New run scheme.
Aggressive offense using tempo and going for it on 4th down.
Attacking defense.

Lane needs to win but not nearly as bad as Golding and the Ole Miss program.
This is an absurd thing to say.The expectations are far higher at LSU. That’s not even debatable.
There is more pressure on LSUs head coach.
Ole Miss is NEVER firing a head coach that wins 9 games a year.

Faulk is a freak and is going to be a really good player in the nfl. Should he be picked at 2? I don’t think so. Should he be in play at 8? He absolutely should considering we have a massive need coming up at the 5 tech.
My dog brother - I respectfully disagree. I’ve watched quite a few games of Bailey and Faulk (and Bain too).
Sure Faulk may have some untappped potential ; but he’s not in the same tier or category of football player as Bailey or Bain. I may be naive - but I don’t think there is even a small chance he is drafted ahead of either.

Kendrick Faulk being picked at 2 would be the most baffling pick in recent memory.
If it plays out like that you pick Bailey in a heartbeat.

The “floor” is he gets fired after banging a subordinate before making the playoffs.
The “ceiling” is multiple nattys.

Odd

I know we have Treydez, and he’s a beast, will be the best in the nation this next year. But do we have any guys under him that can pick up 6-7 yards reliably, in a more Bauer Sharp role (while also not fumbling 457 times)? I know we grabbed a kid from Oregon, but he’s really more of a blocker.
If TG stays healthy he’s obviously got the receiving aspect of the TE position coverred.
If the guy from Oregon is more of a blocker that’s great and what LSU needs .
Hell maybe they will be able to run the ball a little this year so it will make sense to have a TE capable of run blocking.
re: I really want Bain. He would fit so well
Posted by PigDog33 on 1/20/26 at 7:58 pm to VA LSU fan
Bain will not be available at 8.
Don’t be fooled by mock drafts. There’s 2-3 teams that will draft him if he’s available ahead of the saints.

I’d imagine it is around 20 or 30. Plus some on top for the big names. Prob another 10ish mil
So twenty to thirty but prob forty ?
No where near close to 20
re: Looking at the stickied roster thread, what is currently your biggest concern?

Easily D-line.
Who’s starting on the defensive front?
Unless I am missing something , or some of the true freshman are going to be impact players from day 1, looks like we have a bottom third of the conference d line.

Nothing to see here, a statement has already been put out. Coaches are not allowed to back track on statements.

What is the positive the cursing serves? It causes a person to be interpreted as very immature.
Some of the most respected “older” people I know curse like sailers . Some would never say a curse word.
It’s not black and white (cursing = bad) as if he were cursing and speaking disrespectfully directly to a women or child. Lighten up.

DeBoer was such a head scratching hire
Not really. 104-11 as a head coach and proven track record of developing QBs and success on offense. Didn’t have any ties to Bama but the best resume of any coach that was available at the time.
Only realistic hire than would have been viewed as a better hire at the time is the current coach of LSU.
What time does the portal close?
For players entering the portal, I know they can continue to sign wherever they please after it closes if they have entered.
Midnight tomorrow ?

Game 1 will be rocking.
How soon until we find out if it’s a night game?
It was the best chance they had at keeping things together and making a run at it this year.
No matter who the coach was next year they are bound to take a step back.
I’m sure Goldings buyout ain’t much. They will hold a full search end of next season.
I think it was the right decision for OM. They coulda hired the best coach available and they still won’t get as close as they were this year.

New system and a lot of new players suggests this will be difficult
It’s a new time in college football. Damn near every team has “a lot of new players” and some level of coaching turnover. No team spends what lsu is spending to wait a year. No excuses.

Way off.
Would have been top 2-3 on the depth chart for sure.
