Everybody is banging on the O and Leavit.

Sure he had issues. Yes the O sputtered for a half. We fell short at the end. All that is true. Ole Miss’ O is better.
But you can’t dismiss the fact Ole Miss scored 24 points the first half. They accomplished this without getting s turnover, no big Special Teams help, or huge penalties.
We were made to look bad on D. D was supposed to be our strength. It wasn’t very good last night. At the end of each half they couldn’t stop Ole Miss from scoring TDs.
Changing QBs isn’t going to help our D. We need to quit reading out headlines. What we saw last not wasn’t close to good much less elite.

Habitual 3 and outs will do that to a defense...
Having said that, the halftime adjustments worked. I don't know why we abandoned that in the 4th.

No push from our front four on defense...Chambliss had all day to throw...contrast that with Leavitt who was scrambling all night

Really don’t think it was a personnel issue. More of a game plan issue. Why we kept giving them 10 yard cushions when they basically told us what they were going to do is beyond me. I had 5 yard hitches in my nightmares last night they ran it so much.

The first half was a complimentary shitshow from both sides of the ball. Leavitt and the offense continuously had short, unproductive drives that kept putting the defense on the field and then when the defense was on the field they got fricked up. This team is not an upper echelon SEC squad

Wait so you want to blame the defense for struggling against a Heisman level quarterback more than the offense for struggling against a bad defense? Lol ok

The scheme in the first half catered right into Chamblis rush three or four and play soft zone. He picked us apart

That’s an understatement. It legit looks like he cannot drop back to pass even in a clean pocket without wanting to pull it down and run. Much less be able to look past his first read.
Dude has a lot of work to do. Yea the defense had a bad first half, but they were on the field the entire half because of ugly offense.

I thought the defense would travel and keep LSU in the game to override the emotion. It didn’t. It was a very big part of the problem. Yes, you can say the defense played better in the second half. But it’s true that the offense had to come alive to overcome the defense’s poor first half performance.
It has been clear since game one to anyone who wanted to pay attention that the offense had some deficiencies at a lot of spots. The thought was the defense was good enough to allow the offense time to figure those out as the season went along. That is not the case. The defense was a huge disappointment last night.

7-9? So ole Miss had at least 9 offensive drives in the first half? And you don’t see how our shitty offense going 3 and out over and over could impact that?

Good point, but if our D is supposed to be elite you don’t let Ole Miss score at the end of the first half after a nice, long TD drive by hour O. And you hold Ole Miss to a FG at the end of the fourth quarter instead of giving them 8.
Elite defenses win championships by stepping up. Ours did not at the opportune times.

That same offense only scored once on the defense in the 2nd half of the game, when they actually had breaks.
and Trinidad did that to UGAs defense, twice last year. He did it to Louisville who just beat SMU.
You can't have it both ways... and the data doesn't agree with your emotion on this.
